Well.. its been forever since I've been here and I've given myself a new name. Those who might remember me...I was connorsmom. For those who dont...a brief update..<p>D-Day was 11-8-00.. a yr ago this week. My H started having an affair with married woman in Aug 2000 when i was 4mos pregnant. Her husband called me and told me what was happening... and we caught them about 5x. My h was insistant on a divorce and he filed first of Aug 2001 after leading me to believe he was working on the marriage for 9 mos. He wouldn't move out of the marital home, but continued affair, having girls call house, and making fun of me while talking to them. So, I took my daughter and moved to my own house and started my own life.<p>I will be awarded full custody of my now 9 mos old daughter...am getting alimony (7 yr anniversary is tomorrow), and child support. I could not be a happier person. I never, NEVER, in a million years would have believed ANYONE who would have said this would have worked out for the best.<p>On an even better note... the girl my husband left me and my daughter for, the one he was going to marry and live happily ever after with.... BROKE UP WITH HIM!!! She is now on guy #3... guess she wasnt the angel he thought she was...lol<p>I just want all of you new guys to know...i'm living proof... even though i fought and fought to make my marriage work... the single life aint that bad... i'm having a blast!!

Way to hang in there. You are a great example for others who are struggling at this moment.
The best revenge (poor choice of a word but it is the only one I can think of)...is to be independently successful after a breakup. The WS does not have this choice.

Hi,<p>I could have written this post! I'm not saying I don't have my moments of sadness, because I do still have many. But yesterday I just put an offer on the cutest little house! And it'll be ALL mine (by the way, how I got a loan with only child suport and alimony as income is beyond me). Things aren't so bad after all and I'm so excited. I'm getting back out in the work world and loving it (of course, my kids are both in school now, I wouldn't be very happy if I had to daycare them). It's ALL so new now and I have such big plans formulating in my head - and I feel great.<p>Lots of sunshine these days. I'm glad for you and know how you feel. Take care.
