h never had much of a relationship with his mother.can this be someone who can have a good relationship with any one?
he is currently living w ow and saying he wants a divorce.he even went to some cheesy lawyer (free consultation) to disscuss things. i told him i would have to go speak to my own lawyer.i am not gonna just agree with his terms.we also have a 6yr old so there are things that need to be worked out.
he hasn't seen his child in the last 2wks and has only spoken to her once but claims she is so important in his life.says all he wants is to see her every other wkend, twice a month.
how do you feel ok with that when you have been a part of this child's life for the last 6 yrs and seen her everyday (minus the days you didn't come home) he was the first to hold her when she was born where is the bond?
he has never really been close to his mother(yet never told me anything about his issues with his mother)we have know each other 10yrs and have been married for 7.
he has cheated throughout the marriage.so can he ever be faithful?he thinks he has changed but change doesn't happen over night.and can you really just change on your own.
he wasn't close to his mother,me or his child for the matter.can he really have a rewarding relationship with ow or any woman for that matter? i would like all opinions this has really been bothering me.

I was the first to hold my daughter 10Yrs ago. I get her every other weekend and on Weds. night till 8Pm.. Every fathers day, Alturnating Thanksgivings, On my birthday, On her birthday for 1/2 day, Alturnating Christmas's... This is pretty much a standard visitation thing. Anything less would get nasty, and bitter, hurting her in the long run.
Now on to the bigger question. Can he have a meaningfull relationship? Sure, Yes. Now will he have a meaningfull relationship w/ this OW, most likely not. Right now he's in the FOG. He needs to grow up big time before that happens.
Take care of yourself. Worry about you and your child.
Tex.

in regards to a good man in texas's response:thank you for your response but just to let you know.your visitation rights sound great.i never read your post so i don't know your situation. h is living with ow and has been 3wks since he left home.
he would never take our daughter during the wk b/c he claims to work late(which is a lie) its just that he lives w ow and they go home together so that would just cramp his style.as far as his bday her bday is the day after his and he will just spend it w her as he did last yr(they went away so he would not attempt to give up his bday with ow to be with our daughter. he is very selfish
school holidays his mother pretty much watches her that has been the case.since his mother works nights and we have had that as the plan for awhile.every now and then i do take off to be with her.(he only did if he was off that day)then he would stay with her.
he in no way wants to inconvience himself and its obvious.if he only wants twice a month than why make him take more?he doesn't even call her only once in a blue moon.
he isn't even interested as to what goes on in school.makes no attempts to find anything out in that area.doesn't ask about report cards, progress reports ,pta meetings so what do you do with someone like that? i will not hound him any longer i did in the past won't do that again.
he never plans in advance only when the ow is concerned. so i will not through our child at him wanting to see her must come from him. i also told him i don't want ow around child.he can take her for wkends and spend time w her.but as long as he doesn't live on his own daughter must get returned at night.
claims he is okay with that.what do u say or anybody else for the matter? to spend his bday with his daughter.so
