This is a true story! It happened to me.<p>At my office we occaisionally go out to eat. We ususally go to a Chinese place just a couple of blocks away. <p>So, a few weeks ago, before my latest diplomatic mission, we went. My fortune cookie said:
Pleasure awaits your company.<p>After the diplomatic mission, we went to the Chinese restaurant again. I got one cookie with 2 2/3 fortunes. I know. Sounds fishy. But this is for real. They read:
Things are not always wha they seem.<p> Listen attentively. You will come out ahead.<p> Someone is interes.....Keep your eyes ope....<p>So, what on earth does this mean?

It means you have had tow good lunches and a good laugh-just remember to add "in bed" at the end of each fortune!!!

Years ago I went out for Chinese food with a girlfriend of mine. Her fortune cookie said "Your lover will never wish to leave you."<p>Unfortunately she had just placed a restraining order against her most recent boyfriend after he brutalized her when she tried to break up with him. We just looked at eachother with our mouths open and our eyes wide. It was so weird.

Hey Cinderella,<p>who knows......<p>I believe them at the time, make them fit my life, and then forget about them. Not deliberately, but life just takes over.<p>And chinese food isnt very big here, it's more Thai, Vietnamese or other versions thereof!!!
I can't remember the last time I ate Chinese.<p>But now that I've read this, I want some NOW...<p>It's 10.30 pm here, the girls are in bed, there are no places open that would deliver, so I guess a piece of fruit will have to do....<p>Hmmmmmmmm, what will I have for lunch tomorrow..<p>take care girl<p>love and hugs<p>Jo
