Ok-
Well, I've tried to introduse some of the MB concepts to my SO, and though some of them worked others didn't.
Look- he's a really relationship dysfunctional individual. He doesn't know how to communicte or express anger constructively, he doesn't TRY to grow.
Finally after 8 years of me pulling uphill with "The Relationship", he's finally decided to separate. We've split the house, cuz neither of us can really afford to move out. Luckily we have 2 floors, so it's like separate apartments.
The thing that's driving me NUTS- is he CAN'T go past my door to do whatever without stopping in, sometimes he hangs out for hours.
Then when I really need companionship, and ask him for it he EXPLODES and says he's not getting the "space" he asked for! ARGH!
HE chooses to hang out with me! Now I've had to resort to saying, no he can't come in. Now he's acting like a cast out resentful snapping puppy dog.
It's always the same, when he wants to visit- he's offended if I say no, but if I ask for his company he violently accuses me of clinging.
The sad part of all this is I still know he's my soul mate. I know- if he'd JUST stop being a stubborn NUT-CASE, we actually have all the right stuff to be a happy couple. It's like he's afraid of being functional or something!
There has never been an afair or anything. Just periods of us getting close like a couple SHOULD be, and he subsequently "fabricates" a reason to pull away. Now we are separated, and he's free to do what he wants- yet he's still blaming me for his lack of fulfillment. I just don't get it.
I WISH we could move apart. Has anyone ever seen this weird behaviour before & know what to make of it????
I keep praying that he'll get himself straight, and stop making me the wicked witch- though he surely thinks I'm appropriate to come to when HE is lonely.
Is being "tough" and telling him to go away when he is playing these hot-&-cold games really right?
He's got me sooooooooooo confused.
help?
Tat
