Today I've been really down. Feeling incredibly low. Trying my best to joke to get my spirits back up.
I often don't talk about the financial problems I'm going through right now. This is my biggest concern and I tend to sweep my fears under the rug, especially as Christmas approaches. To prideful to ask for help from others. Anyway, I was starting to fight that depression that sometimes have tried to sneak in lately, when in the mail came 7 back payments for child support. Enough to at least get us through the month.
I'm crying now, just from relief!
ANNA

It makes it harder for you!
I left a job I loved once because my husband's aunt worked there was got fired. Family pressures for me to leave too.
Anyway, the interview I had my hopes up for, wasn't the job I really expected it to be. I interviewed yesterday. They said they'd let me know, so it may be mute point, but I'm wondering with the job market in Houston getting worse and worse, should I take it or not take it.
I also left my resume at a Houston Limo company. They haven't started interviewing, but are just accepting applications. They are looking for someone who has Quickbooks experience. I'm Quickbooks 2000 certified. So let's hope.
The money through the mail, cheered me up a little, but I'm so down on myself today. I made a huge error on my job resume. I'm talking not little, BIG. The exchange in Houston changed a few years ago and I never updated this. I sent out several resumes from the newspaper, as well as on line. I wondered why no one called. I just discovered this yesterday, and I'm having trouble getting passed the disappointment in myself.
It makes me realize why alot of employers won't hire separated persons. They know your head is stuck "well you know!". Mine really seems to be lately too.
Thanks for asking, I hope all calls well with your job search. Let us know!
Take care,
ANNA

Anna,
I had the same kind of problem getting a house......they saw the words separated, and fobbed me off.
So I wrote a letter to sell myself...told them enough of my story to make them see i was not a lowlife......stereotypical images, y'know.
I gave them that letter one afternoon, and I got the house the next morning.
Maybe something similar could help you???????
Love and light, girl.
Jack
