I just wanted you to know that I went back and read your reply to my posts to SEBREA. I appreciate your strength in your walk with God. I'm still growing in my walk with God. Part of my growth has been a wonderful small group bible study. These women have helped me through some tough times these last few months. I HAVE prayed for God to bring my H to his knees. These women have seen me suffer from my H's continued lies, betrayals, and basic emotional indifference. They have counseled me that God can only do so much where my H is concerned, and because my M is now falling apart, I've been inclined to believe them. They've also told me (and I sometimes really believe it) that God may not WANT my M to continue, as my H is maybe NOT the right one for me. Keep in mind that they've seen me up and down, prayed for me daily since May and that my H's lies continue. I am at a loss as to what to do to be honest, so maybe using my own will as God's? Right now, today, my H wants nothing to do with me. He insists we sell our house (I cannot afford to keep it without him there), separate and move on. I DO continue to pray that if it is God's will that my marriage work, that it will happen.
Anyway, I really wanted to thank you for giving me such a strong lesson in true, strong faith in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.
MOM

I will pray for your faith to be increased.....
I certainly don't know what God's will is for your M, I only know that we can learn that from Him only. NO ONE else can know it for you, either. I would advise you NOT to "seek counsel" in many places. That's the beauty of our Heavenly Father....He delights to speak to us PERSONALLY!!
I love that about our God. He's not so all-powerful that He never has time for us small, insignificant humans. In fact, Jesus said that not even a sparrow falls to the ground without God's knowledge and approval, so how could WE not matter so much more to Him? But, there is also a catch!! (Why does there always have to be a "BUT"???) God DOES expect US to "seek His face, follow Him, obey His commands, be faithful to believe, and above all Love One Another." Hmmm, doesn't sound all THAT difficult.....
One of the first things (to get closer to God) that I did when my H moved out was to throw my self on the ground on my face (almost literally) and repent of my sins in my M (there were many) and then get into God's Word. Again, I was all alone. We hadn't gone to church in a very long time, so I didn't have any particular place to go. I DID go to church that next Sunday (and every Sunday since then), but in my "alone" time, I just read and read God's Word. It was during this time alone with God that He revealed His Will to me regarding my M. Again I say NONE of us can know it for anyone else....I don't believe your church friends can know it for YOU, either! Only God can speak about this...it's such a personal issue. However, I believe after my prayers of what I should do, and what was going to happen, God led me to this site to SHOW ME that my M CAN be saved!!! I had gone to About.com and they have a discussion forum on Divorce, etc. and that was such a NEGATIVE experience!! I just would leave there (after all the marriage BASHING) just more depressed than ever!! I think it was God telling me that wasn't the place for me.....well, there was ONE person on there who mentioned this site. I came here, and the first thing I read was: "Can one person save a M? YES!!" That did it for me!! I was on to this site and NEVER went back to the other one!! Since then, other sites have been recommended from here, such as RejoiceMinistries.org, and Restorem.com (I think that's a .com). They both are Christian ministries to help put M's back together and both believe it is NEVER God's will for a M to divorce!! I believe that was God speaking TO ME!!! I believe (after reading so many miraculous stories from there) that God can do this!!! I'm praying for a miracle.....I TELL EVERYONE THAT GOD IS GOING TO DO A MIRACLE IN MY MARRIAGE....I have to believe it......how else will God get the glory when He does it?

quote:
Anyway, I really wanted to thank you for giving me such a strong lesson in true, strong faith in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

I humbly thank YOU for your kind words. I hope that we can continue to hold each other up, and I will pray for your H as well as your walk with the Lord!! I'm really NOT that strong in my faith, just getting better at it every day, as God allows, but I appreciate hearing that someone is blessed by my words and thoughts.
I listen to Joyce Meyer every morning now....she is ONE STRONG SPEAKER!! If you haven't heard of her, do yourself a favor and find her show in your area and watch her....give yourself about a week. She takes some getting used to, but she speaks truth about our walk with God. It's amazing!! Her show is called, "Life In the Word."
