I am new to the divorce issue, and to the discussion board thing. i don't understand many of the abreviations used. where is there a key? My situation. Married 13 yrs, 4 kids. poor comunication, spouse angry. Seperated temp while going to counceling, she files for divorce. No falt state so issue is over child custody. and mounting debts. I want to work on our relationship but she is distant and will not even talk. Meanwhile she has "friend(s)" she spends much time with. I don't have the books by hartly except His needs her needs and I dont know the plan a or b thing. Where do I start, can This actually change or is it a lost cause. I'd start by going to the thread on the abbreviations and then fron there go to the Notable Posts thread which you can access from that page and start reading.
You can also read about Plan A and B on thos website along with alot of letters, articles and info. about marriages and how to improve or save them.
After you've read everything, you'll have a much better understanding of where you and your marriage is at. Post any quesitons you may have on this forum. Usually divorce is the only thing people know to do when there is trouble in the marriage, but you'll see there is ALOT more. Start reading! K

Hi there-
You've already got the most of the information you need. I just want to answer the part about there being any hope. As you read more post here you will see that there are success stories, however, they don't always happen as fast as we'd like or even before divorce. Read all the stuff that has been recommended. You can't control your wife, however, you can control yourself. Take care of yourself and be the best dad you can be. This is a tough roller coaster to be on, but remember that you're among friends!
K
