As I am 99.9% sure that divorce is around the corner for me I am trying to get all my ducks in order so that I can better be prepared to know what I'm up against and also to feel more confident that I will be ok when this is said and done.<p>So... I have a question regarding child & spousal support. Since my H makes a far greater salary than I, spousal and child support will be my main source of providing a life for me and my children.
I will probably be relocating to a different state when this is settled.... I can't afford to live in this state and my family are all in another state. If my H chooses to ignore court orders of payment of spousal support (as he has many times alluded that they aren't enforceable) and if I am in another state..... will/can the court ordered amount still be garnished from his wages? Will it be harder for me to collect this? I won't have the funds to be able to live month to month waiting for something to be settled in court for months on end.
Does anyone have experience with this scenario?
