Hi Anna,
Is it okay to tell you that I understood your intent?
It's snowing here, but not a lot -- I wish it would dump or skip it, ya know?
My H is working late, and I'm just hangin'...
How about you?

Hey Sheryl,
It is very okay to tell me. I know you also know my intent...
I wish it would snow in Houston, fat chance of that though...
The last time it snowed was something like '85 I believe and then the whole city was closed down. I walked outside the office and said, "They are closing the city down for this...." As little flakes fail to the ground. GEEEZ!
C'ya and thanks for posting on my deleted thread. You know... we *could* make this our little chatting thread.
In the High Desert of California, where I came from, it snowed a bit, and yep, they'd close down the schools for two inches of sloppy snow.
About a month after I got here last year, it snowed like three feet, and the dang school buses came along anyhow. I took pictures of snow drifts which were about five feet high against buildings... and once we visited a graveyard and sunk to my knees in snow - and that was in February and it was sunny!
Anyway, thanks for the talk. You take care!!

Sheryl,
I am cracking up...This is the perfect thread to start a chatting thread...
So tell me what you did this weekend? I went to see the movie "Lord of the Rings" today. 3 HOURS!!! I had to pee half way through it OF COURSE! I was shocked to see all the little kids as I walked down the aisle. Kids that could barely walk..and I thought I was bad that my 10 year old son saw it???
The dang movie had no ending...You gotta pay twice if you want to see the ending...I wonder if other movies will follow in it's steps?
ANNA

Oh... you are talking to the QUEEN of "have to pee, be right back" Land. I literally, and don't tell a soul, thought of getting depends for a drive to the beach (not that you couldn't see THAT through your bathing suit, but I digress ).
I wanted to see that movie, but I think I'll wait for the video instead. We've been so broke, but my parents sent a money gift this Christmas and we went to see the Harry Potter movie (2 trips to the bathroom, thank you very much). I'd read all the books, and I have to say, I was disappointed by the film. It was well done and all, but just... oh, I don't know... not as WONDERFUL as I expected somehow. Also, we hadn't eaten first, so it was like... uh... $18 to get in, and (hold on to your hat! ) $21 for treats (cokes, nachos, popcorn and a candy - and we SHARED the nachos and popcorn, for crying out loud!!! ).
It's 11:30 here now - what time is it there? I guess I should go to bed or something constructive -- hee hee. But I'll wait a bit and see if you're still around. You are making my night, ya know?

Hey Sheryl,
It's 10:30 here. Just hanging out, thinking of going to bed too...
My kids saw Harry Potter too. My OS was very disappointed, he said it was a let down...Not his exact words but it was what he meant.
My OS is so funny these days. He comes up with little lines from movies out of the blue. He says them at just right time. Yesterday he says in a funny but serious kind of scientific voice, "What good is it to take a telephone call if you can't speak?" Today out of the blue he says in a I see dead people tone, "When people talk, I hear them speak." Well funny but probably one of those "you have to have been there" to laugh type thing.
Well, it is very late where you are so I'll say "night". It was cool talking to you tonight. Fate! Eh? hehe
ANNA

I'm half way there (it's a lap top - haha)... but I had to tell you that this made me LAUGH OUT LOUD!!
And that's scary in an empty apartment in the middle of the night.
Anyhow, goodnight, and thanks again for the lovely night. Hi Anna and Crasher Jan!!
So, today it is sunny, roads wet, snow not all melted, but getting there. Tonight it is suppose to snow again, and H will be home (probably asleep, since he didn't get home until 5 am and had to get up at 10 for a job interview)... so I may be back tonight.
The people downstairs are listening to Boy George at a deafening volume (oh joy )and I can't complain because they ARE the Supers. Sheesh.
Luckily the girl above isn't home, because you'd swear she weighs 400 pounds the way she stomps around up there (she doesn't, she just walks heavy)... and the floors are wood... and even with carpet (which the apt. does NOT provide) you can hear EVERYTHING that goes on.

That's my sister! You live below my sister!!! Tell her "Hi" for me. She's a little thing but she stomps like an elephant. She always got us caught as teenagers sneaking in late! STOMP! STOMP! STOMP! Too funny!!!
Remind me to tell you about the Pinochio and Donald Duck piggy bank heads we used to use to sneak out at night...
Gotta go to a Chiropractor appointment. See ya'll later. Sheryl, I am thinking about your husband today. I hope he gets that job! If not know that there is a better one out there for him.
Take care,
ANNA
