Anyone else miss cooking for someone. I have 2 kids but they just dont appreciate my home cooked meals. It seems that i take great joy in doing things for others, whether they want me to or not. So supper is on ! I dont cook much anymore, the kids would rather have spaghettios, or mac and cheese. I made chicken noodle soup and minestrone last week. I wound up feeding the faculty at work, cause my kids didnt want much of the soup and i cooked for a hungry man, ( you know the one that used to live with me) stbx. lol. Seems the amount of food im making is for someone who is not with us anymore. I feel deprived not being able to cook for someone , so tonites menu. Comfort foods.... meat loaf, mashed potatoes, and broccoli, cauliflower with cheese sauce. Help your self to seconds, theres plenty.

Oh Man! I know just how you feel. I have 2 of my own and they would just as soon eat chips. Tried cooking 'nice' meals for them, but they could care less. At least I got a thank you from WS. I love cooking and love trying new things but when the kids don't, you don't. It's not very consoling to have leftovers for lunch everyday. Tonight on the menu...Pizza and Calzones. Enjoy! Father thank you for this food we are about to receive! Amen!

I haven't actually done this yet, but I intend to because I am sick of the plain food my kids eat.<p>I am going to make myself big pots of things like soup, curry, etc, and freeze portions. Then when I feel like something nice, I can whip it up in a sec. Also this will give me a bit of an outlet for cooking.
