I don't want to be here (no offense), but I am getting ready to meet with attorney soon. I can't even think clearly. Can you all that have been where I am or am going give me some light or suggestions as to what things I need to make sure I address with attorney. Specifics. I don't want to be so emotionally charged that I forget something. I know that the attorney should do all that, but I am a take control and organized kind of person, so I want to have my "list" ready.<p>Thanks for the input. Here is me rushing in blindly... are you a boy or a girl? Not that it matters. Specifics...
Marriage certificate
Names and SSN for children
Financial picture for you and spouse
Ideas pertaining to custody and placement
Name of spouse's lawyer
List of personal and joint property
Titles to cars
Real Estate deeds
Bankruptcy papers
General ideas of what you want to come out of the divorce with as far as property, financial support, and possible ask the judge to order marriage counseling.
Hope this gives you a start! I always have to have a list.
