has anyone considered going after the other person who your spouse had the affair with? I just found out that in AL you can. Has anyone done this or know of anyone who has, I remember seeing something on it on TV one night. My H was caught down dirt road with her in patrol car & has dozens of phone calls to her on his cell phone each month both to her home & work, plus everyone at her work place saw them hugging & spending so much time together when she should have been working. They are now living together part time when she doesnt have her kids, & plan to be married after the D. Ive talked with her husband & he will go after my H. Its not the money but letting people know what both are like & have done to 2 families.

you can't go after them here in ohio, but i did read about a case somewhere, and the BS was awarded over a million dollars. It made me wish I could do it, but after some thought I figured why bother if I could, she didn't want me so it was best to let it die and move on.

You go girl!<p>Where I am you can't do this but I can sue for at least half the money he spent on the OW while we were married. It is family money. My STBX has no clue this is coming & when it does our nice peaceful divorce will be out the window. As the amount is anywhere from 25k to 50k and could be more, I need the cash or what he will have to pay me over yrs to get it. But I am such a pushover I may not push it. I get sick thinking about it.

Hmmm, So does this mean I should check into sueing the alcohol and porn industries since that is where family money went? and the place he's worked for years since that is what took him away from the family for 9 years, requiring his being gone all but one weekend a month? <p>Interesting thought, although I don't think it would stand up in court..<p>I guess one of the things you'd have to have are
reciepts, copies of phone bills, and such proving just how much he actually spent on her..just as her h would have to prove how much she spent on your stbxh..<p>Is his cell phone personally owned or a business cell that company pays for? If the company pays for it I don't think they would classify that as
family monies spent on her..so unless you have reciepts and such it maybe hard to prove...

You were able to file suit for alienation of affection (or something to that nature) before but that has been taken off the books.
Now I find more satisfaction in waiting for their marriage to fall apart and see them sink lower. A marriage with adultery as its foundation cannot be blessed by God; it can only be cursed. I'll let God handle it. Not taking revenge is so much sweeter.

Oh, I am not talking about phone bills, if I have those dragged up that add several thousand into the mix. I am talking about the $2000 a month he gave her in support, the $4000 ring, the 3 or more overseas trips (frequent flier & rewards but our kids could use them), this doesn't count the dinners, the flowers, the other pieces of jewlery, the wkend getaways, etc. <p>And yes I do have copies of reciepts, or account numbers where the records can be pulled up.<p>But I want be taking OW to court, but my STBX will have to hear this when we go to medation. I remember the story...the W sued the other woman and rec'd a million bucks. The story was in people magazine a few yrs back. I would love to do something like that but who needs any publicity. I also would like to sue my H's company for having his mistress transferred to his office. I honestly don't know what these men were thinking. His boss knew he was still married....and they did it anyway. I bet that's more of a case for me! But suppose my H loses his job...I would be up a creek! Do a search on the Boards (OC and Divorcing) for a member named "catnip." She and her H saw a lawyer about suing the woman who had sex with the H so that she could get child support. I don't know whether they were able to pursue the case to a conclusion.
