Hello Ladies and Gentlemen,
This is my first post on this forum (or any other forum actually). I have been reading some of the postings and decide to tell you my storey and get some advice. Here it goes...
Up until about three years ago my wife and I had a great marriage (or at least I think). Then one day I was at my office and got a call from a guy she worked with. He told me that they had been having an affair for about 6 months and he couldn't live with the guilt any longer. When I went home and questioned my wife, she denied it. She said he had been stalking her and she was tring to get him to stop. They were both call in and demoted at work. Things got better for a while, then about 6 months later I began to get suspious again. This time, my eyes were a little more open. I began to check receipts for times, cell phone bill, etc... I found that many lies were being told. To make a long story short, over the last 2 1/2 years I have caught them together, read emails about them loving each other, and caught her in numerous lies about her whereabouts.
We have seperated once (when I caught them together) for about 2 weeks. She always denied that she has never had an affair with anyone. Everytime I think things are getting better, and the resentment begins to fade, something else comes along that links him and her together. It starts all over again.
We had a really good life going until her unfaithfulness. Things have been a downward spiral ever since. Everything from finances to family relationships. I blame myself for some of the finances. I didn't blow money on myself, but we have over spent our income the lsat several years. I didn't tell her about the extent of all of our debt. She hates to discuss money issues, so I didn't want to add more stress to the problems we already had. However, I'm at the end of the financial rope. I can't do it by myself any longer. I shared this with her finally, and the "wheels fell off" again. I knew it would.
I have been a good father and husband. I do all the "manly" jobs around the house, but I also cook, clean, wash & fold clothes, iron, get the kids ready for bed, ready for school, etc... I have truly tried to make and keep her happy. Yet still, I know she is unfaithful and want admit it so we can deal with it and move on.
We have two beautiful children 5 & 9. They are the main reason we have not done anything drastic sooner.
She is an extremely beautiful women and I do love her very much. I wish for our kids sake and ours we could work it out, but I don't see her really wanting to anymore.
I hope this enough infomation to get some feed back from someone. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
