I live in Georgia and was wondering what am I looking at as far as costs to get a no contest divorce? He will probably agree to letting me keep the house and we have no other debt in our names together.

I'm not sure bout your state specifically, but it all depends on if you are having lawyers, a mediator, or pro se (no lawyers). The average retainer for a lawyer in a divorce case is $1500. Then the initial filing fee can be waived if you are indigent (really really poor like me) then they can also waive the fee for service of papers. Make a quick call to your family court commissioners office in your county. They should be able to give you a quick rundown.
Elizabeth

morton, I live in texas and when I divorced 4 years ago, it didn't cost me a cent. I used a book called "how to do your own divorce in TExas"-I check amazon.com-there is a version for georgia.
We had kids but no real property and everything must be agreed upon. It was really easy and FREE!!!
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1572481374/qid=1015863947/sr=12-1/104-0775973-8299163
[ March 11, 2002: Message edited by: diddallas ]
