Sigh...
My 5 yo d said today that my WS XW is to marry in September. I knew to who, but asked anyway.
Several things come to mind.
1. Just goes to show that though I made my mistakes and did my best to save the marriage, I didn't stand a chance as the fog was that thick. He even cheated on her while she was cheating on me and she still didn't give him up.
2. Statisically speaking, her marriage to the OM doesn't stand a chance. 95% of affairs end. 85% of marriages within 2 years of a divorce fail. (Divorce was final April 16th, 2001)
3. I get stronger and stronger every day. The XW has only displayed weakness. Just wait until the tough days of everyday reality set in...gonna snap their relationship like a twig I think.
4. Any bets as to who is going to cheat first? OM or XW?
I'm not sure how to feel about all of it. On one hand, I can see how screwed up in the head they are. On the other, it looks like the OM is going to be in the picture for quite a while. Still turns my stomach. No future in sight of fog ending and XW interacting me in a normal way. She continues to vacillate between warm and cold with me. Her attempted manipulations have grown old. I think she's trying to manipulate my daughter. I know that in the long run, this will only ruin her image with my daughter as my daughter gets old enough to understand what is going on.
Well, I've recovered enough now that I'm looking to date. I have most of my life together with the finishing touches by summer. I've learned an incredible amount about relationships through this whole painful ordeal.
As the world turns...
Kevin

Kevin it just sucks that you have to have this happening to you. Remember that what comes around goes around. She'll find that out sooner or later. Meanwhile, you will have totally moved on and truly happy knowing that you are the better person and NEVER CHEATED!! You will get to go to our savior knowing that. SHE CAN'T. You are the better person and a wonderful father.
I can totally understand how your stomach would turn every time you even thought of the OM, let alone your WW marrying him. They are DEAD WRONG and have been all along.
Continue to take care of you and that precious little girl. You're a wonderful DADDY!!
HUGS (((((((KEVIN)))))))
Jess

I expect to be where you are, I admit it's not a thing I would choose.
However, what they do does not define who you are. It helps me to remember that sometimes..
Good luck with dating..

quote:
He even cheated on her while she was cheating on me and she still didn't give him up.

Same w my ws. To steal a phrase from SNL, this may indicate that they're a "good fit"..or is it that they're not either good or fit..hmm..
Dan

nothing you can do to stop whatever happens, I am in same situation, heard that EW is getting married to other man. They will go to great length to prove they did the right thing, it is unfortunate for her that she will have to go through alot more pain and suffering before she wakes up. On the other hand life will just keep getting better for you.

F-1, H-0.
I am already living that scenario. X married om 10 months after we divorced, can't believe she waited that long. They went out of town and got married near/at his mothers, so no one that she even knew was there. She also went the weekend of our son's birthday.
How's that for something to be proud of!!!
They've been married for 13 months now. Don't know how they are doing and don't care. That keeps two creeps off the street. Well maybe, as om reportedly had 2-3 previous affairs and also cheated on my x with his wife of all people. X took him back in 5 hrs after that one. She also took him back after he told her at work he wasn't taking her on a cruise, that his mother had given him/them. Reportedly she almost passed out at work. Talk about your fog.
Hang in!
