How do you handle total honesty if one spouse has a profession that requires confidentiality?

The spouse with the confidential job could share by general description without specifics that would compromise the confidentiality. "Had a suspect under surveillance this morning...ate lunch around 1:00...paperwork in the afternoon...while I was driving home I remembered to pick up some milk...."<P>Or "Had several client appts. this morning....THAT guy I mentioned who never pays his bill FINALLY did...."<P>Would that help?

Well said Lucks! You should not need the kind of detail that would infringe on any confidentiality needed for his job. Because this is an issue I assume that there is a credibility problem here. If you can fill us in a little we may be able to be more help.

Thanks Lucks and Mudder. This was a hypothetical question. My husband and I were just wondering what people in those type professions would do, especailly if there were a creditability problem.
