I found this book last weekend when I went to a HUGE Church in Schaumburg, Illinois. It's called:
Single Again and Secure in God's Love, by Jim Smoke....
I wish I'd had this book 6 months ago! It's not a tough read, just very insightful and incredibly healing...
Here's a few quotes I really liked:
"Faith never falls apart at the approach of the boulders of life. It is when the rocks are rolling that faith shows up best." --Malcolm Smith
"Do not lose your inward peace for anything whatsoever, even if your whole world seems upset." --Saint Francis De Sales
"A life of REaction is a life of slavery. One must fight for a life of ACTion, not REaction." --Rita Mae Brown
"To let go is not to regret the past, but to grow and live for the future." --Anonymous
I encourage any of you who are struggling with the divorce process or after the divorce to please read this book.
For those who don't know me/remember me...I was divorced on March 8, 2002....after a year of the roller coaster. My XH is still with OW....I'm moving on, wrapped in God's loving arms...if God is for me, WHAT CAN MORTAL MAN DO!!
I'm happy! Really HAPPY!!!
LOVE AND PEACE TO ALL OF YOU. YOU ARE ALL DAILY IN MY PRAYERS!
Kari
[ March 29, 2002: Message edited by: Myownme ]

Thanks MOM,
Where can you find the book? I could use something like that. I looked today for a study bible too. Anyone have any good suggestions on one. I have been trying to read some of the bible more lately and get so frustrated with it. Someone suggested a study bible. I looked today--but they were all wrapped--so you couldn't really see what they were like.
Anyway, I am so glad to hear you are happy. I hope I get there someday too. Pat

Dear MNM, Can you see if you have any Northwestern Bookstores near you? If not, see if you can find them online. Or, go to www.willowcreek.org or com, whichever. That's the church where I got the book I told you about.
My bible is called Spiritual Renewal Bible - New Living Translation. I would HIGHLY recommend it. Very easy to understand, with very helpful guides through it...
Take care and GOD BLESS!!
MOM
