I am crying right now because the stories i am hearing here are so sad. I can not believe how many people in this world are hurting inside. I wish i had the power to do something about it and help does that are suffering. I just imagine the tears in the eyes of this people with problems and the screaming to have the one they love back.
Is incredible what love can do to soul of a person. I am sorry if what i am saying is somewhat stupid but i could not help my self i had to say it. I am sorry for all of you that in someway or the other are suffering so much .
I will Pray that God may bring into your lives joy and desire to keep on. I am begginig to get terrified about my future marriage. Love my fiance, but just imagining that he maight leave me and cause me all that pain or otherwise it makes me scare . However, we are nothing without love.
Diana.

Diana62,
All marriages don't end up like you find here. Just ones where one or both of the couples forget why they got married. Life is so busy that it is easy to forget that the spouse has needs, there are SO many more IMPORTANT things to do. [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
If you and your fiance read some books such His Needs/Her Needs you will have the foundation for a successful marriage. More importantly you both must understand that being married is work and sacrifice. Having children, one of the very biggest reasons for marriage is incredibly stressful on the marrige.
You may ask how do I know this. Well I have been married for almost 24 years. Have three children. I came here to learn and sort out some issues. I am not divorced nor have I or my W had an affair.
One thing I must caution you about. This site can be very addictive [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com] [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]. You get to "know" some of the people and you want to see them do well. Next thing you know you are checking in everyday to see how they are doing. [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
So Diana62 don't be afraid of marriage. As Jax said he would do it again or even more eloquently as Garth Brooks said in the "Dance", you would miss all of the fun if you try to avoid the pain.
So look at future and be happy. It is good that you are aware of all that is here, but it doesn't have to happen to you or your future H.
God Bless and Good Luck,
JL

I too came here to learn when my marriage was having problems this past fall. I have learned a lot and my marriage is doing much better. I started reading some of the forums here and have become addicted though. There is so much pain here that sometimes I find myself crying for people I don't even know!
I can see how all this would scare someone contemplating marriage. It scares me and I have been married 10 years! You are doing the right thing by coming here and learning all you can before you marry. I wish I had this information before I married it would have saved my husband and I a lot of pain! best
