I have been married for 14 years and during those years my husband had numerous of affairs. Like every 2-3 years. In February he abandoned us (me and 2 boys) and he has eloped with my cousin. Now he's saying she might be pregnant. He will find out today. I would like to reconciliate but he has problems with his drinking and his sex addict, codependency, adult child of an alcoholic and boderline personality disorder. Do you think it is possible to reconcile with all these problems that he is faced with?

Anything is possible, even in a situation as bad as yours BUT only IF he admits that his affairs are wrong, he seeks treatment for his addiction, and is committed to following a game plan like the marriage builders. Otherwise it's going to be business as usual for you and him.
There is another thing that you must be concerned about and it's sexually transmitted diseases that he might have contracted from his affairs and that he might have passed on to you. Since you seem to be the only responsable adult taking care of your children, it is imperative that you go to a doctor to have yourself checked out and confirm one way or another if you are infected. In any case you should not have sexual relations with your husband until he has stopped his affairs.
Good luck and keep us posted.
Joe

I have been tested since March. I haven't been with him since, I'm clean and I'm not sure how he is now. It's crazy he doesn't 100%ly trust this alcoholic but he says if she is pregnant he will stay with her. Everyday I lose hope. I think he would have to be committed to a Mental Hospital to start recovering but he's not committed.
