how slow the D/D board is lately?<p>Is it my imagination, it seems like it's slower than I can ever remember it, and I've been on here almost a year.<p>ANNA

I follow both the EN and D/D boards and everything is slow. I've also noticed that a few long timers seems to have disappeared. I wonder if people are connecting via e-mail, rather than deal with newcomers.

I've also noticed that it's been slow the last week or so. A little off this topic, but the other thing I've noticed is how many new people there are.<p>When I first came here in May '00 (under a different name), I was number 5900 and change. In Jan of this year when I came back I'm #8465. But I look around and there are people who are in the 15 or 16 thousands. Did the numbering system change or are there that many newbies in the last 5 months or so?<p>If there are the many new people, that's a little scary.

The numbering system seems to fluctuate. I've seen members with a lower number than mine who joined after me.<p>It is interesting to see the new members come in, who are at the point I was in 2000, and to see the people who were "new with me" then come back and post their updates.<p>So many getting married!! Others finding peace with single parenthood ... others letting us know how their WS and OP didn't make it ... <p>I'll always wish there were fewer new faces (not because I'm anti-social, because I hope they don't land at D/D!!) and more happy positive updates from the "old faces"!! ;}

Princess,<p>I hope you're right, I'd hate to think that almost 10,000 new people registered since January. What's funny for me is that "old timers" post an update or something, and it turns out that they're newer than I am. LOL, kind of a depressing though.
