H threatened legal separation if i dont do things his way. How should i protect my son and myself if he really files?.

Don't try to do things through one attorney, you need somebody on your side to look out for your interests. Don't let him get away with anything. Make sure you don't sign anything unless your attorney has okayed it.<p>As a practical matter if he is combative and using this threat as an attempt to control you, don't give him the pleasure of seeing that it bothers you. Defer any communication about the separation to your attorney.<p>Hope that helps.
