I can't offer any names but I can tell you what I did. I asked around to all the woman whom I knew where divorced who the best attourney was. You know the one that makes us men quiver in our boots. I got the answer and hired that one. As a matter of fact I'm one of only a few male clients he has.
Bill

Court reporters are a good source to find out who is good. They get to know all the lawyers and know who presents good cases. Phone the court house and they will give the names of some court reporters.

I don't know if this guy is any good, a friend gave me his name. At this time I have no need for him. He offers a free initial consultation,

Lawyer search Martindale-Hubbell Lawyer SearchIf you need to protect yourself legally (and/or financially)... I usually make the recommendation of finding a good attorney. A good place to start off is at the Martindale-Hubbell Lawyer Search site. Do a search within your county... look for only "family law" specialists(>80% in divorce/custody/etc.)... make sure they do a lot of "family law committee work"... if they know the judges all the better... You can normally find a few that will give initial counseling free of charge. USLaw.com (an alternative search site)

Jim/NSR

Look for a local group for fathers support and get their take. I talked to Fathers for equal rights.
JC
