I bebop in and out of the DD forum now and then - I feel like a misfit most of the time --- but I have a problem I need help with.... Here it is...
Okay --- so the reality here is - we are divorcing. It will all be final in July --- but in the meanwhile - I have all this PAPER hanging out at my house. His old MAIL that he refuses to COLLECT. His old junk which he refuses to take. Things like old W-2 forms, credit card applications he filled out, notices that keep coming to my mailing address (he refused to change his address - and I don't know his address). I've taken this stuff to the post office "ADDRESSEE UNKNOWN" etc... and it continues to pile up.
He no longer EVEN comes to see the kids. He filed NEW divorce papers, stating that he HAS no kids, and just in general has been a pain in the tuche. He's photographing us from a distance, follows us, was caught a few weeks back scavaging through our trash, and is a general nuisance. What do I do with ALL this paper?
Jan

I sent most everything back to the sender.
Catalogues and such, I called the order number - usually toll free - and told them to take him off the mailing list.
Do you have telephone contact with him? If so, tell him that on a given day you will have it on the front porch in a box or a bag and that he needs to get it or it will go in trash.
If there is a paper recycling program in your city, you could just recycle it.
X has been gone from home almost 7 years now and I still get some junk mail in his name. It gets recycled.
Could you forward it to his parent's or to his office?

No contact what so ever -- - other than his newly appointed divorce attorney - who filed a NEW divorce stating that he has NO children.
I've wondered about sending all this mail to his attorney?
Jan

His new atty is his legal representation. He acts in place of your STBX. It is more than acceptable for you to send the things to the new atty. Anything you think may be of use that is, the W2's or papers... Old junk mail and things like that you can just toss or recycle. Send it to his representative with a return receipt requested (CYA) and that way it is out of your house.
Has your atty filed a motion to counter this new divorce filing that says there is already a divorce in progress and that there are children resulting from the marriage?
Stupid question, I know that guy was following you and stuff, and the whole picture thing, but if STBXH is trying to deny the kids, why is he bothering to take pictures of them?
E

E
Not sure why he's taking pictures.
Yes my lawyer filed - there is some stupid law that negates his filing - as if it doesn't exist... Not sure what that's all about - haven't had time to go for a 'consultation'...
We have an appointment this week to get it all straightened out.
Hope it works.
Jan

I had thought about suggesting that you send the mail to his atty.
