Thanks c++_guy.
That must of been the reason why I didn't say anything ugly to my ExH when I saw him this morning.
My counselor says she's going to help me learn self control - so that I don't let myself be baited by ExH into replying to him with the first thing off the top of my head, which usually just makes him mad and doesn't solve anything.
I think that God's will for me now is to learn how to deal with ExH. I think it will be the hardest thing I've ever done in my life, even harder than forgiving ExH for the A.
If you divorce, be thankful that you have no children. They are always the loosers and you'd also have to deal with your Ex FOREVER! (Not the Ex you remember, but the Ex in their current ungodly state)
Now this wouldn't be so bad except that my ExH does not want to relinquish his control over me and doesn't know how to treat me with respect - although since he believes that I am the reason for ALL of his unhappiness how could I possibly blame him?!?! Anyway, it doesn't make for a pretty situation.
Just imagine parenting with Satan, and well, you have my life. So, it will probably take every candle in America burning brightly to keep me on the right track, but "...Thy Will be done...." So I just keep telling God that if this is what He wants me to deal with in my life then He better give me the strength to handle it, because I can't do it myself.
I hope that you're doing ok. I wish I could get to Mass during the week - the Eucharist is the source of all healing, but I do manage to make it by the chapel every once in a while. The kids call it going to visit Jesus, and they just love to put the money in the box and light the candles.
The next time we're there, there'll be a candle with your name on it. K

C++_guy >>
That is sooooo sweet! Thank you. I just read this message now (9:15 PM) and strangely, I didn't feel sad or angry all day. I thought it was because I was distracted (I was working hard in the yard today)!
I really appreciate your prayers. I hope that you are doing well to. I try to say a general prayer for all the people here when I go to bed.

A.

C++_guy, God is in Control, Avatar and getting better,
Hopefully everyone had a great day with all these prayers. I went to the adoration in the chapel after mass & prayed for y'all. While I was there, a peace come over me and hopefully all of you!
Yes God, we are in your hands, offering ourselves, our problems, our life to you & you can do with it as you will, Thy will, not mine be done.

God Bless All,

This is a good thing, welcome all. Thanks for being here.
This should help us all, The Memorare:
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence I fly unto you, O virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you I come; before you I stand sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate! Despise not my petitions, but in your mercy hear and answer me. Amen.
c++_guy

I'll second the AMEN - and you can also say that prayer inserting St. Joseph's name too. Talk about two exceptional examples of people who listened and obeyed the Word of God.
K

Wings of Prayer
On the wings of prayer
Our burdens take flight
And our load of care
Becomes bearably light ...
And our heavy hearts
Are lifted above
To be healed by the balm
Of God's wonderful love ...
And the tears in our eyes
Are dried by the hands
Of a loving Father
Who understands
All of our problems,
Our fears and despair,
When we take them to Him
On the wings of prayer.
Helen Steiner Rice

[ June 25, 2002: Message edited by: WillGetThruThis ]

Please pray for me - for a clear mind as there are so many decisions to be made right now. I'm one step from being totally overwelmed.
On top of everything else,yYesterday I was in a minor car accident (not my fault) but the other driver was uninsured and my suv has to be in the shop 2 weeks, but not rental car coverage. GRrrr. Finainces are insane right now so this doesn't help. Plus I am sore & have a headache. Didn't mean this to turn into a vent !
God Bless everyone, I am praying for you as well.

Hi C++Guy,

Thanks for your prayers. I know that I will get thru this, but at the moment, I am one step ahead of the frieght train that is roaring in front of me.

There are lots of decisions to be made & it's hard after the car accident. I went to a wonderful Dr last night & feeling a little better.

The hardest part for me right now is knowing that it's over yet not saying anything so I can put together a plan & get some things in order. I feel dishonest yet I am protecting myself & kids from WH who chose a dishonest (A's & drugs)way of life. Anyone else experienced this?

I am hoping to go back to Florida in the next few days & regroup. I have a wonderful prayer group at my church & really miss them. By the time I come back here, I will have a plan & begun to carry it out.

Thanks for your concern, it really helps a lot!!

This morning I was feeling sorry for myself & thought to get out of myself & prayed for all those on MB. It works.

Do you go to Mass everyday ?

God Bless,

D.

I'd like to join the Catholic club here! I went to noon Mass yesterday and just had to thank God for the peace and joy He's given me of late. My life isn't how I thought it would be, it is HARD to be a single mom of three little ones, and I too am co-parenting with Satan, but God is giving me the strength and grace to get through it. I will pray for peace and joy for each one of you!

I am about midway through my annulment, and could use prayers as it is dredging up a bit of the pain of the past. Thanks!

Hi Krista,

Welcome to the "Catholic Club" ! I will add you to my prayer list.

How old are your little ones? I too am "co-parenting" Satan. (Never thought of it that way but it seems true. Actually, I've met OW2 & when I looked into her eyes, I actually did see Satan. (Didn't know all that was going on at the time.)

Just out of couriosity, what does it take to get an annulment? And how long?

God Bless,

D
