Hi guys,
Well today is the day I have to go to Family Court and submit my proposal for settlement. Lawyer lady is quite ruthless...I asked her to submit only what I am entitled to by law; she is going for the maximum. I won't end up with that, but it gives room to negotiate, and is going to scare the pants off stbx. I do not think he knew he had quite so much to lose.
Well I am as nervous as a kitten, so any good wishes and prayers would be appreciated.
Love and light,
Jacky

Good luck girl!
Been there, done that, got the T-shirt to prove it!
May the lord give you comfort while you are going through this.
I had to go to the Dr. and get something to keep me calm (Zanax). But I am a very high-strung to begin with! Hehehehe!

Hope everything turns out the way you need it to....
Heartfelt regards
RN

Good luck - and don't let your WH guilt you into anything less than what you deserve - which is whatever you want! Remember - he's the one who put you both in this situation and he has to take responsibility for his actions. And he needs to be responsible to you and his kids - if he doesn't remember the marriage vows, at least you do.
That was my biggest mistake on the court date - letting WH get away with too much - he said I didn't deserve anything.
Remember that you're worth it, and it'l be ok. You're doing what's right for you and the kids and that is way more than your WH is doing.
Stay strong. And God Bless. K

Thanks friends.....it went well, all things considered.
No, Cinderella, he wasn't there, as he is overseas, and the first thing the registrar asked his lawyer was if she was going to be in telephone consultation with him...."er, um, no, um, my cell phone isn't charged....er um". Registrar gets annoyed and says "Well WHY NOT? What are we here for?" Well, THAT looked good for his case, NOT!!!!!!!!! LMAO.
My lawyer (did I tell you she is tough?) calmly put our case on the table, and his lawyer did too, for what it was worth...but we couldn't finalise anything because of no contact with stbx anyway . BUT, my lawyer was GOOOOOD, the registrar was CLEARLY batting for ME, and stbx is gonna be a little worried to say the least. His lawyer has to give him paperwork, it comes back to us, etc, etc.
Oh, that money that went 'missing'? Suddenly stbx agrees that it was there all along...so now we have the full pool of assets to divide.
I am hopeful that this won't last too much longer. If we can agree, we may not need to go to court again, and it is only a small difference in our percentages, anyway. I think it will be okay, and I will be able to look after the children and myself quite well, considering. Having said that...I am not holding my breath either.
Thanks again for prayers,
Love and light,
Jacky

Good Luck jackie, It is sad that this is what it has come to. He never did realize how much he had to loose and I am not talking about the money. He gave up so much of his life to be with OW. My ex is still with OM and after 19 months still hasn't figured out how much she lost. Be happy and keep moving forward.

Way to go. Glad to hear it went so well. I'm also glad is attorney/solicitor(?) didn't look well prepared - but it would have been nice to have it over with.
You're doing well.
