All,<p>Still out in the middle of the gulf working. Called the kids today, after I talked to the kids, x wanted to talk to me. Said that she was going to Alabama (Where OM lives) and wouldn't be back for a week. She told me that the kids would be at Xin-laws house. She knew that I would call her parents house if I couldn't get in touch with them. You think she is trying to make me jealous or something? If she is, she's not going to get much of a reaction from me!
Another thing that has me pretty hot is her OM sent me an e-mail last night with the caption "Just for you" I opened it and it was a picture of him flipping me off with a mad look on his face! <p>Folk's I found out a long time ago, and lots of missing parts later that violence is not the answer to anything but right now I could pull his arms off and beat him to death with them!
I don't know what she told him but whatever it is I didn't say or do it. I don't like talking behind someones back. I won't say anything that I wouldn't say to your face. He knows that. <p>(Rewind to last time I was home) I was at x's house, (formerly our house) and she was the one talking bad about him. Telling me all his bad habits, bad temper and some of his other attributes and short-comings (pun intended) I didn't say one bad thing about him. I just sat there and listened. <p>I am so close to fire him a e-mail and tell him what she said but I am having second thoughts about it. The thing is, if he doesn't believe me, I could give him a phone number of a person that he knows that heard every word of it. My x's best friend! I don't want to put her in that position though!<p>I guess I am just blowing off steam, I'm pretty upset about this!<p>Thanks<p>RN<p>P.S. Just when things start to level out someone has to stir the stink up again!

"<p>Get yourself one of those morphing photo-editing programs, like Kai's Power Goo, and morph that picture into something grotesque and funny looking, then send it back. [img]images/icons/grin.gif" border="0[/img] <p>I have a friend that's got the perfect solution to being flipped off on the freeway. He keeps a pair of Groucho glasses in his glovebox. When he inadvertently cuts someone off, and sees them coming after him in his rear-view mirror, he turns his head away while they're coming up alongside, puts the glasses on, then simply turns around to face them. He said that one time he did this, the guy had his hand all ready to give him the Royal Canadian Albatross. But when he saw my friend's getup, he stopped and almost had an accident he was laughing so hard...<p>I've tried things like this, and they WORK. Nothing defuses someone's anger like humor. Hey Rough,
I would sit on it for a day or two before responding. Don't do anything in anger you will later regret. E-mail can be a blessing, but also a curse because of the immediacy of it. What a goober for sending you a picture of himself shooting a bird!? How junior high is that?<p>I would be tempted to forward it to your xw with a message along these lines:
XW,
Thought you may want this for your scrapbook. I have no need for it. Sure looks like you chose a good one.
Wish you luck, you'll need it.
RN<p>That may be a tad harsh, but she needs to know what a weirdo he is. And that way you aren't even responding to him at all. Something like that doesn't deserve a response in my opinion.<p>By the way, are all the d-days in your signature line with this same yahoo from Alabama?? (nothing against Alabama - it is where I live, too!)<p>Wiffle

2long,<p>I need some humor right now! You did give me some good ideas. thanks<p>Wiffle,<p>No, not the same guy. She has been around a little in the 9 yrs we were married. (Cheap shot but true)
The first one was with a 18 yr old that she met at Wally world (Wal-mart) she was 20. He told her the best thing she could do is go back to her husband.
D/D #2 Internet relationship turned PA. Bought the guy a ticket with my money while I was at work! He was 48 and a Elvis impersonator. She was 24. Next was this guy again 5 months later. D/D #4
Elvis impersonators friend from Alabama. Been in the PA for 11 months. It is a on again off again type of relationship. Anything else you want to know? Slocomb, Al. by the way!<p>I would bet that she knows about the picture. He is a goober! Not too smart if you ask me. Why would you take on 3 children and a wife or girlfriend and have to move to Louisiana to do it? Not going to happen! There is no future in this relationship!<p>[ June 27, 2002: Message edited by: Roughneck ]</p>

Roughneck: I believe the best way to deal with the OM and his immaturity is to rise above it and ignore him. I know you are angry and want to tell him off, but consider this. Your ex wasn't using good judgement or was she being even remotely sensitive to you by telling you about her boyfriend. Did she really think you would care? Maybe you do, but she doesn't need to know. If you go flying off penning a nasty rebuttle to this guy's adolescent behavior, you will come off as the bad guy. Showing any passion, whether it is warranted or not is not the way to go....complete indifference will say much more.

Hang in there...it is going to take some time, but you will be okay. There will be bumps along the way, but I believe you will weather them alright. The next time the ex or her silly OM attempt to drag you in the middle of their mess...calmly ask them if they are planning on auditioning for the Jerry Springer show...and leave it at that.

You, have a good day and don't give those two another thought.

Hi Roughneck,

By your nick I am guessing you work on oil rigs. Right? That is hard. On for long period of time and then off. Since you are from LA you must work in the Gulf of Mexico. Take care we are in Huricane season soon.

Here is my take on what you should do. Ignore it and them. Act as indifferent as you can to them. When a college professor sexually herassed me he gave me the best advice to get back at him. One day he said love me or hate me but never be indifferent to me. Hence, that is what I did. I always acted like I could care less if he was around me or not. Of course I was seathing on the inside. It worked though.

Wow your x sounds so much like mine its unreal, she's always trying to use constant affliction. Its apparent this OM is a "Low Life Narrow Minded Sewer Rat"...digs in lifes garbage cans to find something eat.

Don't stoop to his level, your X will love to see 2 men quarrel over her, she will feel she's paying you back, if you get involved with OM, she knows she hurting you with jealousy, its natural on your part to be jealous after being together that long, but she wants live her fantasy, don't make it happen.

Its funny how my exw wants me to be friends with her, but only so she can flaunt OM in my face.

how about this? In future, don't even OPEN anything from him...I can't believe he would actually have to nerve to do this but some people just don't have a lick of sense.

RN-

I just have to say, the picture thing had me LMAO!!! I just keep picturing those idiots on those cop shows on TV. What could they be thinking? Hey, I looked really good when that guy tackled me, threw the cuffs on, and slammed me into the back of the patrol car. Sure, put me on national TV <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="images/icons/tongue.gif" />

Just sit back and think about it!!! What an idiot <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" /> Just be glad your W is getting what she deserves <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="images/icons/wink.gif" />

All,

Alright, Ok, I know, the best thing to do is to let it roll off of me like water off a ducks back. It doesn't mean that I can't imagine tearing his limbs off and beating him to death with the! Does that make me a bad person?

Feeling much better today. I know I shouldn't get upset about stuff like that but when it is in your face, it makes you want to revert back to the days when I didn't care if the sun came up tomorrow and wouldn't let anyone get away with something like that. It must mean that I'm growing up huh!

Anyway, thanks for the support, I think I knew what I really needed to do but wanted your thoughts on it. It's unanimous! Indifference is the key!

Thanks!

RN

Maybe you could put it on a web page. That'd be a great monument to her judgement and his communication skills. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" />

Hey Roughneck!!!

I would try something a little different. I would thank him for the nice pic and tell him that I[you] think he is number one too.

I would be tempted to wish that he slides under a gas truck and tastes his own blood, but, I would suggest you leave that part out. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" />

"I'm number one? Sweet!" is what me and the BF say when we flip each other off. It's all in fun though. I have managed to get a couple of pics on my digital camera of his middle finger extended, and there's one of me and my best friend (whom XH hated) both giving the salute.

Yes, I've been TEMPTED to paste these into a greeting card and send them to my XH, but I just chuckle at the idea and wouldn't "go there".

That's the difference with this charming OM. He went there. The way he looks for doing that is the reason I maintain a shred of dignity and just giggle at the thought.

Ignore him. He's proven his worth.

Awww, heck RN,

Go ahead and beat him silly with his own body parts. Might not wanna let him actually die tho...lol.

Kidding of course. I think you have gotten some great advice, even tho it may be hard NOT to stoop to his level. I rather liked the thought of editing the picture into something unrecognizable and then posting it to some net site and sending him the link. Might even leave it as is and post it on like a gay site somewhere, with his personal info included of course. Especially his home number.

Have a bit of fun with the [censored]. Or, let it go.
