I live in Missouri, I heard it could only be two months or less. Anyone have any idea?

I believe that Missouri is a no-fault state like Kansas. The only requirement is that you have resided in the state for 90 days and then divorce can be granted 30 days after filing.
There are a ton of "divorce" sites out there with information about the state divorce requirements. Personally, I'd call an atty or read the state laws on divorce.

Thanks Faith and Bill - My H just called. He will drop off divorce paperwork next Monday. He says his attorney said it could be as little as 30 days. Weird how fast it can actually happen, isn't it?

In SD it's a no fault state, STBX H and I had worked out our own agreement, he filed and when I got the papers there was stuff there that wasn't agreed upon, so went to my lawyer, he re-sent papers with corrections, and now waiting for his reply. STBX wanted this done quickly, the wait period was up May 5th, still nothing signed.
Daughters had to be residents for 6 months, then Service of admissions papers arrived in March and then there was 60 days that we had to work things out, May 5th.
Anyways.........MiseryinMissouri lives in central Missouri and her divorce didn't seem to take too long. If you put a post out looking for her she'll see it tomorrow sometime as she is on bedrest for the next 3 weeks, tomorrow is only day 2.

how long does a contested D take, is the divorce done before everything else is settled, or is everything settled at the same time.
