Life is ok! In fact, life is pretty good!

Monday my 10 month old kitten disappeared. The diplomat was the last person to see her. (Diplomat=boyfriend - what other kind would a princess have)

It took 4 trips to the hardware store for diplomat and me to get all the parts and get my new kitchen faucet installed.

Then the plumbing for drain line below the double sink broke loose - this plumbing had been the work of the xh.

Was feeling really bad so I went to the chiropractor who informed me that the sporadic tingling in my neck and shoulders was due to muscle spasms that had been going on for months so I have to go lots for the next few weeks.

Car needs replacement. Diplomat thinks it's decrepit enough to be unsafe. As for me, I keep praying for it and it keeps running. But, courtesy of that diplomat it has new sparkplugs, catalytic converter, and cvc joint. I'd be happier if the A/C worked but we're half-way through the summer. I'm hoping to make it all the way through.

Now for the good stuff!!!

I did get to spend a week with my favorite diplomat! My children were with us for several days. And we behaved like well-behaved adults - minimum PDA in front of children. But the diplomat had to leave and go home. And, despite my best efforts, I cried when he left yestrday morning. And I will get to see him again in 3 weeks. I think he has stolen my heart though I tried not to let that happen. He is so good to me and so kind and quite fun - at least in my book.

Yesterday my cat came home. Just after I got home from work.

Had a handyman/contractor come by and look at my sink yesterday. Declared the plumbing salvageable after the application of joint compound to every connection - something x didn't do. Tomorrow morning I will be able to use my new faucet and my repaired drain lines - one of my dreams could be to be told I can't use the kitchen sink for dish washing. With only me home the last couple of days, this hasn't been hard.

I'm feeling much better after only two adjustments by the chiropractor.

And today I was told I have passed my probationary period at work. This means I really will get to keep my job. There have been times when I was in fear of this not happening. I could be faster and I know that, but I am pretty good. Lately my actual supervisor has been on extended sick leave and, though I still don't like the manager of the office, things are less stressful and more pleasant.

Cinderella,

Glad to hear that things are going well, relatively speaking. The job thing is a biggie. Now that you're sure that you'll be getting a paycheck, maybe you can start saving for that new used car. ("It's new for me!") Just think, with the A/C broken, you're saving money on your electric bill, right? Here's hoping things keep looking up.
