My wife just broke to me that she no longer wants to be with me. The reasons being was that I was not doing the little things I did before we got married and have not been there for her emotionally over the last year. She had given me plenty of chances and I never took advantages of them. Unfortubnately, I now see how badly I treated her and how I did not make her or our relationship my top priority. With her not staying at our house and not willing to give me another opportunity how can I prove that our relationship means so much to me and that I will never give up on it?

I don't want to jump to conclusions but I would start looking around for some clues to a possible "A" she may have underway.
It's a little unusual for a wife to just get up and leave her home, just because your not doing the little things for her like you use to.
Sounds like a pretty weak excusre to end a "M".
If there is an "A" going on (and I hope there isn't) you have your work cut out for you.
You need to start working on your PLan A, not for her, but for yourself even though she is not there.
Do you have any way contacting her? If not, you are in the same boat I'm in and I feel for you if that is the case. I know it's not very uplifting but work on your Plan A, and try to make contact with her while you are busy working on yourself so you can become the person she wants to stay "M" to.
How Long have you been "M"?
Do you have children?
Need to get more info on your total status as it is at this present time.
Hang in there.
Stay Strong!

We will be married 2 years this August. The only means i have of contacting her is through her cell phone.

It's not only the little things but my overall attitude towards her and our relationship and not making it my top priority like I have in the past. I was not there for her emotionally as she was always there for me. I realize all my mistakes and I just have to find a way to prove to her that our "M" is worth giving me one more chance.

Wallace MAY be right but not necessarily.

What I wonder is why do we (and yes, I am as guilty as anyone else)wait until it's too late (or almost) before we wake up to the fact that we've screwed it up?

Jes wonderin.

I agree with what you are saying 100%
franklymydears.
The old saying, "if we could turn back the hands of time".
In my case I don't think it would of made that much difference.
Killiansjmd, I, like you am guilty of the same thing. My WW sought out OM to fill the need. I hope and pray that yours has not done the same.
It is good that you have contact by cell phone. I would stick with the Plan A. and prove to your W that you can meet your W's EN's. I would give yourself a little time to work your Plan A, and then give her a call and take it from there.
Good Luck!

Thank you all for your responses!

Well we have had some small conversations and I ask if her if there was anybody else and she said no and I believed her. She said she really just needs some space and time alone to think. That is not an easy thing to give but I will do it.

I ask myself everynight why I never saw it?

Killian,
I hope your "W" is telling you the truth and I am glad you believe her.
I would allow her the space she is requesting, and start working a good Plan A.
I would also keep a lookout for a possible "A".
Most people will not admit to having an "A", and the more you keep posting the more it smells like there is one brewing.
I pray that I'm wrong, but prepare yourself for it just in case.
Stay Strong!
