The author of the study, Linda Waite, I think (?) was on GMA on THursday, giving these statistics. Also had another researcher with her, but I can't remember her name, might have been Gallagher.
Also, had a "person" of the "other side" who said SHE looked at the same stats and it appeared that UNhappy people WERE happier after div. Who knows what she was interpreting. Ms. Waite kept saying that other woman wasn't interpreting the same stats correctly, was adding data not there, or something.....
Also had a woman on there who is in the midst of div., who said she was "looking forward" to her divorce, and couldn't wait to be single.
I'd like them to look HER up in 5 years, and interview her again!
They were definitely trying to sway the topic to say maybe the statistics were all wrong.......
All admitted there's lots more to study. HA!! They should come HERE and read for 5 years!!

I think the initial happiness comes from the end of the divorce and all the fighting that comes with it. After the newness and the new set of problems come about I wonder how these people feel.

I feel better these days as a single person than as a M person last year. But not happy over wasting 18 years of my life to a cheater. the stress from a cheating H was causing problems with my health. got my self together with the help of God & true friends. I believe people are too ashamed or too proud to admit that they still care about the X spouse or that they made a mistake.
