One month: I will be settling into new condo, leased it today.
She will be looking around our house thinking she needs to buy some more furniture.
Two months: I will be getting angry because she will have overspent and be asking me for more money.
She will be trying on her new fall wardrobe.
Three months: I will be settling into a routine, and making my boys' Halloween costumes. I have made them almost every year since they were born. And I don't mean duct taping something onto cardboard. I mean, going to the fabric store and getting the patterns and material and MAKING them. I LOVE making things with my hands.
She will be trying to decide which plumber is cheaper because she clogged up the drain with potato(e) peels for the 17th time.
Four months: I will begin making Christmas gifts. I like to make jewelry and have been working on some interesting designs for bracelets.
She will be trying to blame me because this time last year she was taking a trip to Chicago to 'meet her internet affair", and now she has to get to the bank, pick up the groceries, and make sure she has found the ice scraper.
Five months: I will be taking my boys on a fall/winter hike in the mountains.
She will be trying to decide whether that beeping sound coming from the smoke alarms really means there is a fire, or is the battery just dead. And by the way, where are those batteries anyway. Wish my 9 year old was here to help me.
Six Months: I will be sad that my boys have to go through their first Christmas with divorced/divorcing parents.
She will be sad that she has to be getting a divorce over Christmas. It clashes with her lightup bow tie and her festive reindeer socks. [ July 24, 2002, 12:20 AM: Message edited by: Confused & can't believe ]
