Oh my goodness, I've got a job! Panic attack... I have taken care of my kids since they were born and suddenly someone else is going to! Ok, the 6 and 9 yr old are easy, a friend down the street already watches their best friends. But what do I do with a nearly eleven yr old boy? He certainly doesn't want to spend the day at a day care with young children. I don't feel comfortable leaviing him home alone, esp. since the neighbor boy is the same age and is home alone all day.......the two of them together and alone all day isn't a good idea in my opinion. Any suggestions?

I am starting to have the same problem, my d will be 15 on Sat, and my s is 11. My d wants to spend about every other night at her friend's house. I have resisted for the most part, but have left my s alone a couple times this summer. He has a 11 yo friend come up and they play pool or play outside.
My s can take care of himself probably better than his sister.
