Hello All My name is Jeff and My wife of 13 yrs wants time apart to get her mind together and says I need the same. But I'm scared that she'll decide that it's over. Has any one got a positive uplifting experience in this matter. I have heard horror stories saying things like she'll be back when her moneys gone etc or if she can't cut it on her own. I was verbally abusive and have started counseling to change that and have orderd several books from Dr Harley. But in the mean time she's gone and Im feeling suicidal

DT, First off... What you are feeling is natural, we have all gone through what you are going through. Take it all one step at a time. I have personally had many seperations with my "W". You don't want to do anything rash at the moment. If you are having true feelings of suicide then please call your local suicide crisis center and talk with them immediately. Tell them what has happened, they can help you through this at this point in time. Not all marriages end, just becuase you have a separation... in fact many of them survive and become stronger. Call a counselor, they can get you the help that you need for the moment. I know how you feel, it will pass... just give it a little time. Can you tell us more about your situation. Stay Strong! dt, My husband moved out 1 month ago after 16 years he "doesn't love me as a wife anymore." We have both done things to hurt each other but I truly want to rebuild our marriage, at this point he is not wanting that but he is willing to "date" so I figure that is a start. This site has helped me tremdously, I felt like I could die also and honestly tried to wreck my car at one point, I know you get tired of hearing this but it will pass. What has worked for me is just trying to be friends and just not evoke a stressful situation between the two of us. I haven't talked to him all week (the first since we separated) and it's been hard but he is coming to my house sat night to watch a movie and have supper. If you ever want to talk off the board you can email me at slbritton5406@cs.com... I know how lonely it gets and just adult conversation with someone that is there helps. I'll keep you in my prayers and please pray that my husbands heart softens.. you can read my other posts to get a better understanding of our problems. lynette
