Hi all,
I'm writing today because for the past six years I've been really confused with a particular relationship. My ex-boyfriend of approximately 3 years, who I started dating while in highschool. He was an elementry teacher during my senior year. This man was about 10 years older than myself. We hid the relationship for the entire period. No one knew for certain but our parents. The problem is that during that time frame, we grew really close and were even considering marriage. But because of my young age at that time, he felt that it would be unfair to rob me of my future. Deciding not to get married, we dated for a while. He moved to another state-and we continued to see each other as often as we could. To make a long story short, he eventually started to get pressure regarding being married and having children from his peers, family, and friends. At this time he was about 30 and I was 20. So the idea of settling down was bothering him. We often broke up because of this issue. After about 2-3 years on and off, we decided to go our seperate ways. During this time frame he started dating someone else and unfortunately got her pregnant during their first sexual experience. He decided to marry her for the sake of his child, knowing that this wasn't the woman he wanted to marry. After the establishment of his family, we started to contact each other again. He began to tell me about how unhappy he was, and how he was terrified that she would take his child away from him (being that type of person). This is a long drawn out story but I need someone's good advice on what to do. I loved this man with all my heart and he feels the same way as well. The long talks eventually progressed into, out of town trips which lead to us being intimate and sexual again. None of this was plan, it just happened. I was raised in an extremely religious background and these acts of adultrey, is something I thought would never happen to me-hunting me constantly, however I deeply care about this person. My ultimate question is what to do. We've tried to let go, going 6 months to 1 year with any contact, yet we still end up in each others arms. It seems as if we were destined to be together, but can't seem to find an answer. I'm tired of living a sinful life, yet this man means the world to me. Should I wait? Should I go on with my life and hope to find someone else? I'm so confused! Please give me some useful advise.

If it was "meant to me" then you and he should have "made it be" when you could have.
If he's married now, it's too late.
That's awfully blunt, I know. Not meant to be ugly. If it makes you feel any better I do understand how the feeling of missing out on the right one, can be very, very hard to bear.

You are the active agent in breaking up a family. Bow out.
