bachelor's wife

I don't think I could ever live in a place where you can't get good Mexican food. Thank God for chips and hot sauce!

I lived in Texas for 13 years and miss the GOOD mexican food !!!!!

country music

I hated country music when I first moved to Tx, now love it!

cowboy boots,

I eventually bought cowboy boots and at a party in North Dallas. A lady asked me what kind of boots I had. I told her capezio & in the most snobby voice she repied " Oh, how tacky" Woah. My boots where all of 29.95. She didn't think it was right to wear Italian cowboy boots!

Pete,

and Pensacola, FL.

I'm about an hour away from Pcola

Currently live in Manassas, VA.

Have friends in Chantilly and pass through from 95 cutting over to 81, is that 66?

North Carolina here...but I don't eat the bar-be-cue we're supposedly famous for (since everyone is putting in a plug for each state's assets!)

But we DO have two Miss NCs entered into the Miss America contest! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="images/icons/tongue.gif" /> Increases our chances of winning the title by 50%

LOL, avondale! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" />

Are they having any local radio contests to see which beauty queen is the most popular? Hope they've kept up with the news...you know, "no take it all off in the church foyer" contests!

I can think of a few old pics that I would hate to see pop up in the tabloids <img border="0" title="" alt="[Embarrassed]" src="images/icons/blush.gif" /> ...but then you won't see me entering any contests or running for public office! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="images/icons/wink.gif" />

Heartbroken, I hate to break it to you, but shouldn't you be out filling sandbags tonight? Got a little hurricane coming , so I hear! I'm in the Abilene area, we envy your rain! (just not the floods!)Take care!

BW

Sing grew up about 40 miles from me...we met in college where we did actually share a mailbox. But we weren't friends. Just passed each other in the student center.

Boy On a Dolphin is in Pensacola...Go over the toll bridge down by the bay, I guess you call it. Like you're going to drive through to Santa Rosa Island along the coast. Anyway, over the toll bridge on the, I guess, east side of town, and at the first left you cross the oncoming traffic and go onto the side road making another left onto a parallel road. The restaurant is the last one on the right. Has a deck over the bay. It's run by a Greek family so the food has a Greek influence as does the name. Can you imagine 5 and 8 year olds wanting to go to a restaurant that uses white tablecloths. I do have remarkable children if I do say so myself.

And, despite living my whole life in Music City, USA, I don't like country music. But my favorite song by a female vocalist - favorite of all such songs - would have to be 'Crazy" by Patsy Cline. Something about that voice. I've never owned cowboy boots and you see a lot of them here. Ditto cowboy hats.

And with a rapidly expanding Hispanic community, you can get chips and salsa at so many places here it isn't funny. When my daughter was a toddler, she would cry if she didn't get salsa when we went into a Mexican restaurant - even when she was really too young to eat the chips. We used to carry a bunch of crackers to the restaurant for her. There's a new Honduran restaurant near my house.

Wiffle - that's right - I forgot, you are from Nashville. Your parent's seem to live within about 3 or 4 miles of me. So, when are you coming to town to see them. We could grab a coffee at Starbucks in Green Hills or Belle Meade.

And how on earth did two Miss NCs get entered into the samd beauty pagent?

Cinderella,

Old BF remembered he had some topless pics...just happened to show them to the media. Isn't it funny how that happens?

Miss NC was forced into resigning, they crowned first runner up, then original Miss NC got a lawyer...hence two Miss NC's!!!

(Not to bash NC, I'm sure it's a lovely state, probably made even lovlier in the guy's opinions since the surfacing of the topless pics!)

Cinderella:

I lived on P'Cola Beach for a year while in flight school. Boy on a Dolphin was just down the street! Those were my wild days before I met STBXW (over 15 years ago!!). We used to go to MacGuires Irish Pub, Trader Jon's and some others (I forgot their names).

WGTT:

I am about 20 minutes from Chantilly. It is 66 that is the main highway...traffic now is really terrible!

Geez, all these exotic sounding places and I'm gonna stand up and say the I'M RIGHT HERE IN GOOD OLE KANSAS, the most beautiful place on earth.

OK stop laughing and I'll explain. We ain't got no majestic mountain or pretty oceans or anything like that but we do have the MOST beautiful sunrise and sunset in the world. I live in a little hick town called TESCOTT and I can see every star in the sky.

There is nothing better than taking a long moonlit walk, enjoying the stars, while listening to the gentle song of a wheat field.

I live in NY - but not 'the city' - I live upstate which is anything north of NYC. Actually I'm in the capital region (near Albany, NY). Upstate NY is more like PA, OH, VT, IL, MN and rest of middle America than it is like NYC.

Stuck in Indiana for 13 years until youngest son goes to college then it is BACK to good old Colorado for me. Originally from Durango, in Southwest Colorado. And I hate to argue, but WE have the best sunsets, and the mountains, and the rivers, etc. Kansas is anything east of Denver. haha
