Saw a post re: tattoos & was just wondering how many people actually have something symbolizing their X's tattooed on them? Had thought about us getting matching tats once. Glad I didn't. Know someone who has his wife's name in VERY LARGE letters on his back and they're headed for divorce. So far, adding "is a whore" is the cheapest alternative but not a good one. Have also heard of bullet holes being added to faces. Neither would be good if you have kids!
Have been wanting a new one for a while. Have an angel on my shoulder, think I might add a dove.

Never thought I'd have one, but my wife has several. On our honeymoon I got one on my leg that is very special to me that I relate to us, even though nothing on it is directly associated with her. I feel a sharp pain every time I look at it, or someone calls attention to it. Funny, in marriage you never hold back, because you believe in it, now here I am with a permanent reminder of our failed or failing marriage.

I have 4 tats from when I was in the Army. Never did put my (former) wife's name on any of them. BUTT - believe me, if I had, then you can bet your bottom dollar I would most definitely have had it removed ASAP! And never mind the cost either. 'Nuff said. Harold

LOL...Just last year I got a tattoo that I wanted for years. It is a celtic cross. Inside the circle of the celtic cross, I put the kids firs initial (we have four kids, but lost our second--his initial has angel wings ).
Anyway, in the center, at the intersection of the cross, I put her first initial a "K", it is about 3/8" tall.
Anyone have any ideas what to convert it into?

Depending on the design and lettering style you could connect a backwards K to it and turn it into a more elaborate design or turn it into a saying. The guy who does mine is AWESOME and has done some great cover-ups. If you know any good artists (tattoo or otherwise), see what they can come up with.
The angel on my shoulder is for a baby I lost early in pregnancy. It's my memorial and has always made me feel a little better.
Good luck!

Why is it people are willing to brand themselves for the sake of LOVE (haha)!! I know people who would never get a tattoo, get one as soon as they are seperated or divorced. There was never any thought to it. My very future X got three and they are all crap. I guess it was his way of rebelling. Like he didn't do that when he left. I don't have a tattoo but have a special one in mind. Just haven't gotten the energy to get one. It is for my 2 kids. They are the only true loves in my life. Good Luck to all of you.

We were togehter up until the day he met her and not a week before he met her we were sitting together wathing t.v. and there were girls with tats and he said don't ever get a tattoo they are disgusting! Go figure !!

Seems like tattoos & children are the only things permanent - well, death too. But let's not get morbid.
Read something at the tat parlor once... "The only difference between those w/ tattoos and those w/o is... The people w/ tattoos don't care if you don't have any!"

I think tatoos are ridiculous and are defacing to the body we were given.
It makes me crack up everytime I see someone wearing a tank top on a chilly day. I gues they figured they paid for the tatoo(s) so they have to freeze their nuts off just to display them.
As Jeff Foxworthy said, "If you've ever financed a tatoo.....you just might be a redneck.....3 more payment and this son bit@% is mine."
I'm sure I'll offend a lot of you....sorry.

My ex put my name on his arm(not at my request-don't like tatoos) It probably annoys his new wife though.
