Yes, I had the surgery last Thursday, by a specialist in shoulder surgery. The Dr. found that I had 3 tears to my right shoulder, and have stitches, inside, and 3 holes for the scope, with 8 stitches there. Recovery time is slow, I am groggy with drugs, and saw the Dr. earlier this week after surgery. They took the stitches out and placed butterfly bandages on. My rotatotr cuff was injured by SNL, in the altercation we had. He really hasn't said anything about how sorry he is that he damaged my shoulder, but he did take me to the hospital for surgery, and post op visit this week.
I start physical therapy next week, and have my mother taking me, cause I am so groggy.
I know deep inside he doesn't care about me. Doesn't care that I am injured. He cares, but not in a caring way. He just wants me to get better, so that I can get a job, and get insurance, and get out of his life. It is evident by what he says and does.
Just venting a little, don't spend much time on the computer, cause of depression. Don't talk to SNL much, am groggy most of the time, so yeah it is a woe is me.
I am going to try to walk, Dr. said it is okay with the ice-pack I wear 24/7, and the sling. A new sling, that takes the pressure off my neck. Going to try to walk to my fathers grave tomorrow. Haven't been there for about 2 weeks. Need to talk to him and relieve some tension.
Been reading tonight about some of you, and I wish that I had a answer for all of you, I am praying for you all tonight, and God will hear our prayers, and our desperation. God be with you all.

Hi c2m! For heavens sake, we want to hear about you! Not SNL! What's your prognosis for the shoulder? Will the pain go away? Will you have permanent limitations? Are you going to be good as new in six weeks? I'm so glad to hear the surgery is behind you now. Hoping you have some smooth sailing soon.

Great to see you back. You are another prayer answered. Keep your head up. Look on the positive side about SNL. At least he cared enough to take you to the hospital. It may not be much but it does show he still cares.

Please take care of yourself - and try to worry about SNL a little less right now at least - let God take care of him.
YOU need some TLC at the moment!
Surgery is never fun and recovery usually isn't either.
I hope that you can get some time for yourself to relax and recover - not just physically, but emotionally as well.
Thank you for letting us all know you were doing. Remember that we care about how you are!
Don't over exhert yourself and get well soon! K

Cry2much,
Glad to hear your surgery is over with. As others here have said, TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF AS BEST YOU CAN. Be kind to yourself.
The stories/situations here sure are sad aren't they?! It's almost surreal sometimes - as tho we're all participating in a VERY BAD SOAP OPERA. BUT, we have God on our side. Remember that, and make sure you find someone to talk to when you are low. It REALLY does help!
I will pray for you, and keep us posted on how you're doing.

well cry2much it's too bad about the shoulder. It's also too bad you're not closer to me and perhaps I could have helped you with the rehab thru bodywork. Even so I suggest you seek out a competent bodyworker near you that can facilitate the soft tissue healing. Sorry I can't help with the relationship angle.

GET WELL SOON! GET WELL SOON
So glad to hear surgery went well. They got to the root of the problem. That is great news...And yes, recovery is painful but that is what gooooood drugs are for. And I agree that you should indeed get lined up for excellent phys. therapy and possibly massage therapy to help w/pain.
Have you got that little nest area made up already? Good movies, books, and the fridge stocked up? Been praying for you and so glad you've made it through this part. Now comes the recovery. It may be slow but look at this time as time to heal you too. I agree, FORGET ABOUT SNL for a while. In fact, do it totally. During your rest period here, work on you. Get a new hairstyle, experiment with some new makeup/looks. This could be great.
Just now, take it easy. Do what your doc says to do. We are praying

Well it has been a week after surgery. The pain is different, more deep into the shoulder. There were 3 tears in my rotator cuff, so I have stitches and 8 stitches to close the scope holes. But I do think I am doing a little better today. I am able to move my arm more. Which is good, but the throbbing pain is still there, and would of thought by now that it would of downsized some. I am still taking narcotics and anti-inflammatories and antispasm meds. Sleep during the day, cause the drugs wipe me out. I have to wear a shoulder ice pack for 4 more weeks, 24/7. So that has become a bit of my fashion. Calling, him Mr. Blue. It is a blue mesh pack, that we put ice packs in it, with velcro that fits the pack tightly to my shoulder, compression helps with swelling.
There is so much going on. SNL has really screwed up things, and I can only pray that he becomes a man of sympathy and compassion. Pray for his mother, she is in such a mess. Goodnight, see you all tomorrow. My first day at physical therapy.

Had first day at physical therapy. I am quite swollen on the R shoulder, she measured my strength, and mobility. Strenght is less than 1/2 of other arm, and mobility, is 1/4 of other arm. It was painful, and she did for the last 25 minutes pain pressure point, showed me 3 exercises, and finally finished with ice. I will see her Thursday, and the next 5 weeks. She said it is a long recovery, and I am to call my Dr. for a new pain med. Something that will get the deep pain away.
So I have experienced more pain tonight, after the manipulation and exercise. Just pray for pain to subside little by little. Please!!!!

Just checking in to see how the patient was doing.
Hope the recovery is steadily getting better and going well.
Let us know how you are doing.
