I have been married for 1 1/2 years. My husband is 13 yrs., older than me. He has 2 children from a previous marriage that we have full custady of (mind you-no child support). When we got serious we moved into together. I got off the pill. And while my body was in transition I would be late. My husband would rub my belly and be all cheery that maybe I could be pregnant. Well right before we married he confessed he had a vasectamy 8yrs., ago. Promised to have it reversed. Well, now I want a child (he is nearing 40 years old) and he brushes off the subject. I don't know how to take this emotionally becuase this is very important. I just want someone's objective opinion on this and if I am being niave in believing he will change.

i haven't had your problem. sounds like your husband doesn't really listen to you when you talk about having children. Have you tried writing a letter? My H responds differently after readig something as opposed to hearing it. sorry i can't be of more help.
