I've been on a modified Plan B with my WW for a couple of months now while we work on settling my charges on A out of court. She stated a few months ago that, in her opinion, things were so messed up with her A, my getting a PI, etc. that they could never be fixed. I haven't wanted the D all along but recognized months ago that I couldn't force her to do anything and filed so we could both move on. The problem is that she keeps dragging her feet on signing the agreement...What should I do? I can't help but feel that my hopes of R are a dream.....

Your lawyer should be able to advise you how to push the divorce through without her consent. It would depend on the divorce laws in your area.

I second the advice about letting your attorney handle the legal aspect - they will know what the hold up is, if any and what to do about it.

Right now however, you can start recovery - you don't have to wait for the divorce.

You can begin to heal yourself in many ways, counseling, reading some recovery books, and/or reationship books, working on your relationship with God, working on your relationships with your friends and family.

In the divorce process, I have learned that the process is slow, but that it is not necessarily a bad thing - even when we don't see it ourselves, we need time to heal, we need time to heal.

For ourselves and for those around us presently in our lives and for those who will around us in the future.

I know that we all want closure - so do I, and it will come, but in the meantime, focus on what you can control - and work really hard on that, and then it might keep you from focusing so hard on what you can't control.

Hope some of this helps. K
