What made you decide to move to this forum?

I am with my FWS but having a very difficult time overcoming the betrayal and the A and several other issue that surround our marriage. I often wonder if I would be better giving in and up and moving on. But I am not a person that gives up easily and truely believe in the basics of marriage. My H is no longer w/the OW and seems committed to this marriage this is my problem.

Oh boy is that a hard one to admit.

how do you decide that enough effort is enough

“””What made you decide to move to this forum?”””

For me, this was the first forum that I found. My wife and I were talking about divorce and I came here to get advice on how to stop it. Of course the fog was thick then and I had no idea what she had actually done and was doing. Now I stick around here to talk with people who are either going through the same thing that I did or the ones who have been divorced and are dealing with issues.

“how do you decide that enough effort is enough”

The key word in the question is “you” and that’s the bottom line. It’s when “you” decide and having asked the question I would question whether you’ve decided or not. Again, I can only relate this to personal experience. Myself, in the bottom of my heart I do believe that I tried everything to save my marriage and that was a big hurdle for me. I really needed that reassurance before I could move on. After a lot of serious thinking and conversation with the Lord, one day I decided that it was time. I filed only to find out that she had filed the day before. Another thing about my situation is that I did this without knowledge of the affair.

This is obviously a serious and deep subject that requires you to look at the “whole” picture. Had I not had children, I would of never chosen to stay in the situation I was in for as long as I did.

Best of luck to you. Hugs, Thought, & Prayers!!!

ZZ4991 -
I was on the other boards for a short time when I first got on here. When I consented to DV in May I moved over here. I still lurk on the other boards but I mainly communicate with people on here.

I agree with Lost Husband. You need to decide when enough is enough. If you are still having doubts about it, in my opinion you are not ready to move on. That's just 2 cents worth.

Hang in there
