Well, I am not sure how to feel about all this, but I have just emailed my wife asking her to Thanksgiving dinner at my (our) home. I emailed, because I could not bring myself to call her and get turned down on the spot.....we shall see.

If she accepts, I will make the best Thanksgiving dinner she has ever had. The house will look nice and so will I.....from there? I really do not know...

Just wanted to wish you luck with things, sounds like you're in a situation similiar to mine. In spite of everything that's happened with the A, I'd like another shot at working things out with my WW but she's not at that point. I've also become immersed in my catholic faith as well and man, what a life saver! Good luck and god speed....

Hi NMWBTWBD,
I'm sure your feeling pretty nervous right now.
Do you think she will accept your invitation? If she does... I'm sure you will put together a dinner she will never forget.
Prayers and blessings to you.
Stay Strong!

Well, I spoke to wife and found out two things;

1) She will not be coming to Thanksgiving dinner at my house. I work on a ferry, since getting laid off from my software job, and the scheduler needs to know weeks in advance of requested days off. So when we spoke I told her that I needed to know if she were coming so I could put in for the day off. She told me that if I had to know nowm, then the answer was 'no'. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="images/icons/frown.gif" /> ....I did not expect a 'yes' so why am I sad over this?

2)Our divorce will be absolutely official when she takes care of one piece of paperwork. I asked her if she was going to do this, because I had said that, if I had to do it all over again, I would not have filed for divorce myself. I am the BS and she betrayed me with my friend (common story, I see now). Last year she said that she was never coming back, and got angry with me for not accepting her decision, so I filed on her and she was very happy with that. I guess she was right when she said that she was never coming back, because she said that she was dropping by attorney's to complete the paperwork on her way to an appointment. She was so matter of fact about it. The ending of her marriage was just something on her 'to do' list.

Oh well...
