I guess that I am the first one home. It was great to see everyone. Carmine's is a great place, too bad I was too full for dessert!
Logically, this was a great idea. Hope to see you all again soon.

Great meeting all of you. I'm taking a break from setting up a new queen sized bed that my Mom gave me for Christmas. In a weird way, I'm going to miss the single bed I've been sleeping in.
If anybody had any doubts (I can't imagine), NSR is every bit of the gentlemen you see in this forum. Bravo Jim!
Let's do this again when the weather is warmer, picnic, or something.

Hi folks:
Just got back from a wonderful get-together in NYC with MBers from the North East. The food at Carmine's was delectable, the entre portions gargantuan (for example, we ordered 3 entres for five of us and had lots of food left over) and the company thoroughly enjoyable - though we had to break up into two separate dining groups. Most of us just could not progress to the dessert menu. Our palates could not handle any additional food!! Some of us then proceeded to spend more time together at an Irish bar and shared some useful thoughts and advise - a good "bonding" session, I thought.
WGTT: It was wonderful to meet with you, considering that it is not often that you make the trip to the North East from sunny Florida. I hope your D had a good time in NYC and I wish you a pleasant trip back.
Shepette: To be the only lady among a table full of men might have been a change for you. But I assure you that we all enjoyed your company. Hope you did not shop too much!
Kily: It was soo nice to put a face to the name. Good luck with Fairfield U. Your S was a real darling and a bundle of energy.
Not thy Will,...: It was good meet you. Your candor was refreshing and as you move on I hope you provide us with more inspiration. (You forgot your "doggy bag").
Catamount82: As I listened to your story about your dedication to your D, my heart just melted. I hope your D remembers the sweet and savory smell of apple pie in the oven.... Ah, the memories of dad that this might invoke in a lovely little girl, in years to come!!
NSR: I thank you for your wise comments about a number of topics; they will surely be valuable. The wisdom you share on this board would be helpful to all of us. I am soo glad you joined us today.
Sunrise: I hope your stay at NYC has been fun. And I trust your D had a good time there. I did not get to spend some time with you but I trust the next time would be different. I hope you enjoyed the get-together.
The MB get-together in NYC was very good. I believe that most of us felt that we need to do another one in the not-too-distant future, preferably when the weather warms up. If you folks have any ideas/suggestions, please share them.
In the meantime, may I wish you all a very Happy, peaceful and successful (relationship wise) New year. And I thank you all for making this get-together such a tremendous success. For me, it was a personally enriching experience and I am indebteded to all of you. God bless you all.

LI - You said it all so beautifully, I couldn't add a word more other than, lets do this again
MB'ers, it is great to meet each other, those that warm your soul and bring you through the depths of disparagement when we need it, to then meet and laugh together, it was an awesome experience!
A picnic, a camping trip, another NYC trip, we'll have to work on it!
I was sad that we had to split up tables, I reallyl didn't get to talk to alot of the ladies and wish I had, but we will next time!
Thank you to all for a wonderful day!

well. we are home and exhausted. I even let my D drive us out of the city. YIKES!!!!! she did so well. And she thought meeting everyone was great too. I think she wasnt too sure about it going in (as was I, Im not one to go out and meet people like this) My aunt had a fit but Ill call her tomorrow and tell her how wonderful you all were. Actually, I think she was concerned about the 2 of us young women alone overnite in the city, but that was great too. I havent really ever been one to "worry" that something would happen to us. I know God is in charge of everything. (I just have trouble questioning God as far as what happened with my marriage, please pray that I get stronger in that area)
Thank God Andy had shepettes cell# or the four of us probably wouldnt have made it. Actually we probably would have had our lunch in the candyland section of toys r us!
Food at Carmines was much better. So sorry they had to split us up. We really didnt get to talk to the men too much but meeting all the girls and Steven was great. What a sweet boy. you've done a wonderful job with him.
Hope to see you again

What a wonderful time at the get together today. LI The food at Carmines was great & as others have said, HUGE portions. Thank you for suggesting it. Another plus- it was easy to get on & off of the Licoln Tunnel.
Just as I walked up to the hostess stand to put in the name of our party, LI was just giving the name Steve Harley. We both looked at each other & felt an instant bond. It was nice to put a face to the names we see on these boards
Sunrise & D, Kily & S and my D and I all sat at a table. Kily's YS was adorable - he even asked my D to marry him !!!! He's quite the charmer at 5!
C++guy (now NMW...), NSR, Catamount, LI, and Sheppette sat at another table & I was sorry that I didn't get to talk to them more. Next time! I come to Phila several times a year & hope I can arrange to be at the next one.
I will post some of the pictures that I took today. That means tomorrow I will need to figure out how to do that! The digital camera was a Christmas present & I am still learning.
D & I had a great time after lunch even though the City was JAM PACKED. We saw the NFL Today show live & got great shots there as well. We got into the Plaza Hotel even though it was closed to the gerneral public. Things like that kept happening today.
This was good for me. For a long time I did not do things for me. I spent a lot of time waiting ....for WH ..... to come around I guess. If I don't do things for me, no one else will!
It was great to meet other MBr's today - there was such a special bond
God Bless,

Hi All,
I only have inet access during the week so I wanted to add my insight.
We had a really lovely time and I wanted to thank everyone for organizing this luncheon. I was so sorry that I had to leave so quickly after our meal. I would have LOVED to join you all afterwards for more conversation.
Sign me up for the next get together!!! I'll try and get a sitter the next time. DS was pretty funny even if he was a bundle of energy.
I wish I had more time to spend with the "GUYS" and Sheppette. For me, that was the one negative that I would note. YOu all seemed so interesting and I look forward to the next event to share stories with you all.
Thanks Again.

I'm so sorry I missed out on it. I had my two daughters who are far to active for a city restaurant. Please plan a spring or summer gettogether. There are some great parks with lakes & camping in western NJ.
Catamount, How did the custody hearing go? I sent a private e-mail but didn't get a response. I hope you now have more time with your DD. Take Care.

WGTT:
Shepette, NSR, Catamount and LI proceeded to an Irish pub after we all finished with lunch at Carmine's (and the picture taking session!!). We talked about soooo many things: MB concepts, each persons individual situation, etc.. There was genuine concern and support as each one talked about a specific issue.... It was really nice to be able to speak freely without fear of being judged and each one benefitting from words of comfort or words of advise that was freely given out in abundance by the others. Indeed, it was a good bonding session.
Perhaps, the others at the pub might have a viewpoint that they might wish to share with us all?? Any takers?
Newly:
I think another get-together when the weather warms up is a splendid idea. Let's keep the thought alive. Sorry you couldn't make it to this one.

Im sorry I missed the bonding session. I could really use that now with new year starting and all but I needed to spend that quality time with my daughter,,and let me tell you, we had a fantastic time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! not a negative thought (dont count ride home, deep in thought) or bad experience, people were polite and congenial. I didnt even hear any cursing whole time we were there.
The Maitre D was a little obnoxious as he wanted us to beat it after we paid, even though they messed up and seperated our group so we didnt get to talk to much, but Ill forgive him that.
I dont think I could have handled the IRISH PUB though as OW is IRISH and my H has taken an unhealthy liking to all things Irish in the last year or so including the pubs and a particular Irish slut.
Maybe an English pub next time as I am 100% English

All others, I am working on this slowly ......
