Does anyone know the SS laws?

I've heard something to the affect that my ex's SS is mine after he takes a dirt nap because we were married at least 10 years.

Does he get mine as well if I pass away first? Ughhhh!

Anyone know of the stipulations to this law? If any?

Thanks in advance ....
Jo

<strong>Hi, yes, I can tell you something about the Social Security. In talking with SS awhile back, neither of you can collect a penny of anything until one of you is 62 - whether it's Disability (which I receive) or Retirement. Just a little of what I found out.
Dirt Nap! LOLOL I loved that one - quite a unique way of putting it.
