Married 17years and my husband turned around 2 1/2 weeks ago and said to me he was leaving me. He said he had felt like this for awhile and was no longer in love with me. Needless to say he never communicated his feelings to me prior to his leaving. I was floored and so were the kids (teenagers).No OW, I want to make this work, he is ambivalent. How do you employ Dr. Harley's basic concepts etc. if H is not here. Speaking to each other is so difficult.<BR>How do I begin?????????

There was a post somewhere on here about passive/aggressive behavior that I found enlightening. To avoid arguements I, too, didn't express my feelings. Opening dialogue is tough if it would be taken as attacking. My wife, as I did at one time, said she had the feeling that "this is all there is?" but she, too, didn't express herself.<BR>I told a then-engaged co-worker that if I learned anything during this time it was "communicate", even if you may argue.<BR>
