Hi I just want everyone to kown that I have no problem paying child support. I have never missed a payment. I pay for half all their activitys. I also go beond, I have given my ex a credit card to be used for all the kids clothing and med. and dental. I am there for them every chance I get. What I want to know about child support is something my ex was tell me, she has a listing that her attorney gave her listing in % of what the money should go for. Like if you have 3 kids 6% should be used for clothing and so on. It's not something writen in stone. Im not a dead beat dad, I love my kids and would do anything for them.

I don't think anyone thought you were a deadbeat dad. I know I didn't. I am sorry but CS is such a bone of contention for most of us that it really stirs up the fires! I apologize for any misunderstanding.
And so many NCP's think they can tell the CP what to spend CS on...it lets them feel like they maintain some control over a situation that is totally out of their hands. It's kind of like getting the last word in a conversation.
I find the breakdown interesting. Of course, every situation is different and some may be able to afford 25% for new clothes while others may have to spend the whole check on housing and utilities while others can afford to--well, let's us the word 'squander' very loosely here--on vacations, Girl Scout camp, and cheerleading uniforms.

Hi, I have been divorced twice and have 7 children. I have never heard of any breakdown of expenses. Only a % of the take home earnings. Lke I said earlier. Don't let yourself get worked up about it. Just know that this is what being a father to your children is going to cost you.
You will be glad in the end you did your best. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" />
