I recently came across a website celebrating
polyamory and stating that there is no Biblical basis for premarital sex, sex between couples, etc.
I am a divorced, Christian lady and this teaching is very disturbing to me. Have I
practiced abstinence for the past 9 years...
No. Have I been happy with giving so much
of myself? No again. I am now committed to
"keeping" myself until I am remarried.
I can't help but recall the scripture about
exchanging the truth for a lie.
How can this free sex teaching possibly benefit
a married couple, singles, or the family?

There are severtal test to verify the appropriate interpretation of scripture.
First you need to look at the immediate context of the passage inquestion. What direction does it point?
Secondly you need to compare that passage of scripture against other areas of the Bible that deal with the same subject.
Lastly it can soemtimes be beneficial to determine how often the subject is discusssed in scripture. This can indicate the importance of the subject.
You don't mention the web site or the scripture used to argue their case. I was just wondering how they respond to all of the places in the Bible that instruct us to be sexually pure before and during marriage?
Mud <><
