My H is a thief ...he works for one of the airlines and he likes to steal the little bottles of liquor. He comes home gets drunk on crown royal and acts like a big jerk . Plus b/c o f his example my 3 yr old during the holiday season tried to steal some xmas ornaments at a local store. So after this incident w/on my h swore up and down that he would never take anything again …especially since it is not worth losing your job over $4 bottle of crown royal. My H is also a liar….the other day I found 6 bottles of liquor in his car. So that same day after a big argument over nothing…(probably a another diversion so he could get out of the house) I went up to his job and gave security the bottles of liquor. The HR manager called me the next day and asked me how I wanted her to proceed with the case…. Which I didn’t know how to respond…so she concluded that they would keep an eye on him…and not mention what I had told since she feared for my safety. Today when I got home …the phone was dead and the lights in the garage and in the front door were out. My h and the kids were not there. So I knew something was wrong …so when he gets home with the kids he drops them off and takes off….I ask my 6 yr old what happened and she said that he knows about the liquor…and I asked her how she knows and she said that a lady called to tell him how his wife went to security and told about liquor …which I think was the ow (she is a team leader at his job). I am not sure if he told her this info or if she sat & listened to the conversation. So now I am not sure what to do…I still have not chosen a lawyer…the retainers are so high ….the cops here are not much help either …what they have told me time and time again is if he wants to break up anything in the house he has a right b/c its his house !!! >o( . I don’t regret what I did ….I tired of him thinking that he is above the law or that he is entitled to something for nothing …plus I don’t want my kids to think its okay to steal or to only feel remorseful when you are caught doing something wrong. The only thing I regret is that now my 6yr old knows =0( ….I am scared but in away I am glad b/c I think this is the point of no turning back regarding seeking a divorce

Alsia,
I'm sorry for what you are faced with. I've never been in your situation, but I'm sure it's extremely difficult.
Don't beat yourself up for what you did... your H obviously has a problem and it can't get better until the secret is out in the open. He needs to hit rock bottom, per se, and you are helping that process along.
My prayers are with you and your family!

Well I think you were out of line to step on your husband's job like some kind of princess-goddess when what was he doing? Nicking some tiny bottles of alcohol? Jeez, I know it's wrong, but I bet he is one of hundreds doing the same thing. Let's face it, you shouldn't have gotten involved. Who made you the morality police?
So he gets fired and the household loses his income. I'm sure you don't care, as long as your support makes it to the mailbox.
My wife and you would hit it off great. You both are next to godliness. We mortal men should know better than to invoke your wrath. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.

Alsia, This is a tough situation and I don't know what I would have done in your shoes, but I know it is very difficult to know your spouse is lying, stealing, or cheating on the job. It might have been prudent to try to talk to him again and warn him you would go to his superiors; but no matter, what's done is done.
You might wish to get some legal advice...find out if there is legal aid for you if you have no income yourself. Do you have a pastor or family friend you could talk to? Don't try to go it alone. If you are afraid he might hurt you, call Crisis Intervention Services, or another agency for battered women.

During my D I had to think about what X did, stealing stuff from the Navy, wooden chair, books, etc. He always said they were going to throw them away. while working at winn dixie in Jax fl, he used to dent the can & mark them down to a dime. X worked in the fish dept, he always came home with steamed shrimp. He would only weigh part of it then price it. Or cook some fresh just before closing, then price it low for himself. while working part-time for a task force drug friend, this guy own a cleaning company on the side. X was the guard. X used to bring home AA batteries & small stuff. Still I did nothing. Then when he needed more money for MOW, he took money out a wallet that was turned into him while on duty as police officer. I did nothing until I heard that a police report was wrote on another man. When I ask X he laught that he took the report on the guy. I know X did it because I found the wallet with $123. in it, ladies check book & other papers. tried to report X to the mayor but he only said nothing could be done since X left the city. He was trying to cover, chief of police was long time friend of X. Found another person to report, chief of police lost his job for covering for X. Nothing was done to X. He now has a state job as parole office in Mobile. Im glad I told, another man could have went to jail because of x. The stealing will only get worst over time. m-17 1/2 yrs me-48 x43 c-13, 29, 8gd d-5-02
