I was on my way up to NE TX on an offroad trip on Saturday the 1st when my buddy got a call from Mission Control at 8:15 saying we lost the Columbia. Our hearts sunk. We continued up on our trip, only to find ourselves right in the middle of the debris zone (Alto, TX). We didn't find anything, but some of the other Jeepers on the land found a tile and about 15 other pieces of debris. It was an eerie feeling seeing the pictures and debris. NASA's been a zoo with the reporters around. Today is much slower than the last couple days in that aspect since the memorial service is over. The President's words touched all our hearts. Keep the crew's families and the support teams in your thoughts and prayers.

It's devastating, have prayed and will for families. To be so close to seeing them again and losing them, how horrible.
President Bush was awesome in his speech, he quoted scripture it was very moving.
