When do you know it's time to give up?

After how many lies? After how much hurt?

When do you make the decision to file divorce.

For me, I gave up on a Thursday after 12 years of lies and pain.

It took the realization that the emotional cost of trying to save my marriage for outweighed any benifits for me or my girls. I also had to wrestle my beliefs. Once I was able to clear my head enough to think clearly the path was no longer crooked.

The funny thing is that me and my X filed within 24 hours of each other.

Hugs, Thoughts, & Prayers

PS. Hope that you pregnancy is going well.

so hurt, {{hugs}}

I gave up after 17 years and my x told me twice that I wasn't fit to speak another woman's name. That was THE last straw.

Only YOU know how much is too much. Something you will have to search your heart for. Good luck and prayers.

Well thanks everyone for your replies.

I think I got my answer today. H took all the money (including whatever was available in overdraft protection) out of the joint account today. My child support check will bounce.

he's lost his mind.

I'm seeing a lawyer today.
