How soon afterwards can you see other men and live with yourself?
Thank you, Julie

If the divorce is final...whenever you feel you can live with yourself. Sounds like you are not sure yet. I suggest seeing a IC or talking to a girlfriend first. Need to get some things out of your system first. The last thing a new date wants to hear is all the bad experiences you went through. Lighten up the baggage from the past, then make a new start.

I have been trying to let go for years, I am doing soul searching, but I don't how to say no thank you gracefully when dealing with the public, plus I'm not sure brooding is the best thing. My ex was pretty controlling, if I brood I will go back.
It's hard to tell men I want to be friends, but I think I have come up with a plan for friendship only, or if we are going to be serious, to be together for one year. After a year we should part for a few months with no contact. If we still miss eachother than we can see eachother again. Does this sound good? I am trying to make sure I keep my self identity and be emotionally detached.
